Great trail! we cheated as we did it by bike! Nevertheless a great 3,5 hours enjoying the scenery. Great old villages on the north side

It's nice, but definitely better for a bike because of the long, straight asphalted parts which might be boring to walk. But there are definitely some highlights! Be advised: you'll have to take a couple of small detours.

Great little town to walk through. Easy to expand the walk to add more distance.

Being from Amsterdam I can state that this is a not too long hike taking you along some nicer streets as you would normally take from highlight to highlight. Especially the second part (if you walk clockwise) is nice altough the last part past the red light district will often be very crowded. But this part is about 1 km of the total hike. All in all recommended especially for young people wanting tot get a taste of the historic city.

I'm from Amsterdam so I new a bit what to expect but I still enjoyed it a lot! The trail shows less busy and blue (the water) and green parts of Amsterdam and, in the second part (clockwise) a lot of nice architecture. You can shorten the trail at 14.2 km (again when you walk clockwise what I would recommend) by taking the ferry across the IJ from the Azartplein. It is then only a short walk back to the ferry where you started.

The park is currently undergoing reconstruction. Or actually, it’s in the process of being created, by connecting different pieces of the park by new bridges. That causes some detours, but nothing bad, and when it’s finished it’ll be beautiful! Great way to get to know the city and it’s history. Signing is present or being created.

Zwolle was a great city for our visit, stayed 4 days and did this walk. It showed the great medieval city centre. Must do when nearby.

This is NOT a trail. First part in Rotterdam is next to a noisy highway. Next part, along the river 'Schie' is on the wrong side of the river, with houses blocking the view. I live in Rotterdam and I sometimes run to Delft. You can actually better start this walk at the Erasmus Bridge, facing the city - take a left and follow the big river, the Nieuwe Maas, until you can go no further. You will pass the World Museum and a small harbour after that, just walk around it back to the river and keep going until you can go no further. (At the end is a nice park for a small detour.) You will have to take a right as a small canal branches off, so do so, cross the Parksluis and take a left. See the water on your left? Keep it there, and follow it! You will walk the Rochussenstraat and Aelbrechtskade. Still a city walk, but no highway! The road will turn into a bicycle path and a foot path, but just keep going, following the water. You're leaving the city now, walking past a prison. You will cross a foot bridge, justkeep going. Eventually, you find yourself on a small street with cute little houses to your right and the Delfthavense Schie still to your left. Keep going until you reach a T-section on a small, pretty iron bridge. You are now almost back on the original path, but after a prettier city walk. Instead of going right, though, go left (cross that little bridge, switching the river to your right) about 200 meters till you reach the road crossing another bridge. You need to get bacj to the river you were following, so cross it, and a bit further on you find a small road leading you right back to the river, which is now on your right. Follow that and you will end up in Delft on the original path. I don't know about the second half to The Hague, but I hope it was planned with more care than the first half.

Nice outlook of that Village

Amsterdam is a very interesting city and this tour gives you an amazing impression of it. Don't forget to stop at 'De Bakkerswinkel', Warmoesstraat 69, for breakfast/lunch/high tea. Really good food! I visited the museum 'Onze Lieve Heer Op Solder', which was beautiful.

Amsterdam is one of the favorite cities I have ever visited. It is a city full of history, art, and culture, and this tour lets you explore all of that. The highlights during my trip were walking along the many canal streets (pretty much every street), going to the Van Gogh museum (excellent), and going to the Amsterdam History museum, where I learned a lot about how the town developed and became an integral part of European trade and world trade. There are so many great and different things to do here that you will never want to leave.
