Beautiful trail! The trail takes you up the mountain at first and then you walk through the canyon. Watch out for the signs at the beginning and end of the trail (first and last 2 km) because it’s not well marked or at least we mist a few. There is an exciting moment when you have to pass the canyon pond on the flank of the canyon holding on to a chain. At moment of posting the left chain was broken so we could only use the right one. It’s not that hard, it only takes a minute to pass but watch your step!

Walking in the sand is harder than you’d think! Incredible sunrise.

Easy trail to go to see the white lady. Rupestre paints at the top. Careful of wildlife and sun! Bring a lot of water. You have to take a guide to go.

Easiest dune I have done in Namibia. Great for sunrise!

A great introduction to the Namib mountains, this circular trail offers views over the park as well as traversing a narrow gorge. Allow at least three hours, as some sections are slow-going. https://hikingtheworld.blog/2017/10/03/olive-trail-in-naukluft-mountains-namibia/

Stop at Dune 45 in Namib-Naukluft National Park on the way to Sossusvlei. There is a small parking area at the foot of the dune. Hikers generally follow the ridge up to the top of the dune. The soft sand and elevation gain make the hike a bit strenuous. Be sure to bring plenty of water and it's best to start early in the day before it gets too hot.
