I loved this hike with beautiful view at the end. Moderate probably understates the end of the trail where it requires some short areas of rock scrambling. Lots of locals out hiking the trail on the day we went.

Muy malas condiciones el camino

I live in El Centenario near this area. I would not call this a trail so much as a desert road. Very stark and would be a very long, hot slog most of the year. The "river" mentioned is an arroyo. Like most arroyos here it is dry 99 percent of the time and treacherous during thunderstorms. Also filled with sand and very tiresome to walk in. Lot's of beauty to be found in this area but I can't recommend this as a hike. No facilities or water, very limited emergency response.

the trail is not marked in many places. Parked at Jacqueline Hacienda. went across Creek and between towel and horse fields for about a mile. Road curves to left and goes up steep hill and a sign in English and Spanish says no trespassing to the right. You have to go through the gate that says no trespassing LOL. Then that Trail is fairly obvious but those for couple miles maybe that least a mile and a half. Fairly steep with some ropes. View is excellent and worth the hike. Definitely ask every local you see which way to go LOL

il est définitivement impossible de prendre le sentier sans être client du complexe, malgré argumentation avec manager.

Hay qur acostumbrarse a la altura y subir poco a poco para evitar el mal de montaña

Hermosa ruta para caminar en la naturaleza. Vas a necesitar buena condición física. Empiezas en el bosque, a los 3500 m.s.n.m. Cambia el paisaje a pastizales y para la cumbre es un campo de rocas. Mi perro fue el más feliz en todo el trayecto.

Loved this hike, amazing sunrise. A couple of tough sections once you break the tree line (namely the sand), recommend this

excelente ruta

Great hike I hiked up the Jacqueline hacienda and came down to high ta blanka. Go through the no trespassing sign everyone was very nice. 3 hour hike. I just recorded the way down.

Great trail for an easy but beautiful stroll! Costs $50 pesos per person. Lots to see! Well worth it!

This was an incredibly picturesque trail. Anyone who starts from Las Animas instead of Boca is missing out. Yes, there is a cantina on the waterfall but buying a water of water gets you access. Although, pretty sure you could swim up the river and not pay to use the access point. Having bathrooms and changing rooms for wet clothes was well worth it. Out of respect for others, if you do this trail, please don't take donkey or horse. It isn't difficult elevation or terrain wise and the animal feces takes away from the experience.

excelente rura para entrenar y meditar!!

For an easy 1/2 day walk with lots of nature and a beautiful canyon, we truly enjoyed the opportunity to see what a restored native landscape looks like for the area. A new education center is in the process of being built and the botanic garden itself houses endangered plants species from other areas that were needing protection. Bring your lunch for a picnic or enjoy some snacks at the small cantina.

it was a great hike. quite hard actually in some spots but it's completely worth it. I couldn't make it to the top bc I lost the markers and I was roaming so I didn't get the map to show, but from where I made it to, it was enough for the first time. will come back and finish it all the way to the top

This trail DEFINITELY IS ACCESSIBLE, WETHER YOU ARE A GUEST OF THE RESORT OR NOT. You cannot DRIVE to the trailhead, but you can park and walk onto the property from the panga launch beach in Ligui (directly across the bay from the hotel). If they say anything, tell them Villas Palmar does not own the beach... they know this is true and they will leave you alone. If they insist, tell they you want to see the General Manager... then they will leave you alone for sure. Walk on the beach around the bay to the trailhead, and then you will be good-to-go. This is a nice hike, but there are better hikes near there.

Find nacho he has horses but he will also go for a scenic hike 200 pesos per person. He is the most fun and will take you where there aren’t other tourists.

This is the trail up to the beautiful monarch butterflies. We were here in January and there were hundred of thousands. The hike is about 45 min straight up the mountain. It’s breathtaking in every way. So worth it. You do need to have a guide to go up.

We had read great reviews of this hike and were eager to hike the trail. We drove from Loreto to the entrance of the Villa de Palma/Danzanate Bay Clubs in order to access the trailhead. The man at the gate told us that we could only hike the trail if we were members or staying at the resort. We were quite disappointed. We feel that AllTrails should have vetted this trail better and take it off their site as an option for the general public.

Very flat and wide open. I suppose that’s why it’s rated easy
