Nice walk along the ocean. Very easy walk or bike path. Great finished project!

Great views. Path has been greatly improved. Anyone who can do stairs should hike this. Take water and go early in the day!

This is an enjoyable little hike that takes you up to the lighthouse (El Faro de Mazatlán) which has been renovated over the last years. A good early morning or sunset workout not sure I would recommend it during the very hot and sunny hours of the day since there's not a lot of shade along the way. It is highly trafficked during most holidays. There's sitting area and trees at the top to rest and catch your breath (if needed) It provides great scenic views of the ocean, islands and the city. If you like a workout, fresh air and great views you will really enjoy it!!

I live here and run the malecón four or five times a week. It is a great place to run and clear your mind. There any entrances to the beach so you can easily mix in some sand running as well. On the south end you can exit the malecón when it ends in Olas Altas and follow the road up along the curve to the left and then turn right when you pass the school. Go up the hill, veer right and your on the way down the paseo de centenario - one of the most amazing running views ever. From there, turn right and run up the faro (lighthouse). A run you’ll never forget.

The boardwalk itself is beautiful and a nice long stretch. Too bad there is no activities. Was expecting vendors and artists, hell even a place to stop for a coffee or ice cream. None of this was to be found. As far as exercise, nothing beats it.

Walking

A beautiful paved beach walkway through downtown Mazatlan. Lots of runners and walkers exercising and enjoying the views. Very safe and a great way to see the city.
