Nothing special but definitely a nice leg stretcher. A lot of the trail is around private land and it is clear that you’re not particularly wanted. There also is active grazing so there will be cows. I imagine that parking is a problem in the high season as there are about 5 spots and menacing signs. I have done big sections of the trail from the top near the the ski basin. A good option if you want a leg stretcher but you can do much better in the Santa Fe area.

Not quite sure what AllTrails is doing with this hike. The starting marker is way off. Look elsewhere to figure out how to get to the trailhead. I included two other peaks on a hike it was about 12 1/2 miles and 5000 feet of elevation gain. The two other peaks are Job and Job's sister. This trail affords wonderful views of Lake Tahoe And Nevada. There is lots of old growth. Definitely a lot of the trail is almost Sandy granite. Do you research and you'll have a wonderful experience.

Classic urban hike around interesting inlet. Absolutely wonderful and some of the best people watching in America. Grab a bite at nearby Whole Foods and take advantage of their two hour parking. Should take about an hour to walk around.

This is a great trail to take your AllTrails app on. There are several promising spurs and no signs. However it's beautiful country so I don't think you could really lose out on the scenery of you didn't follow the trail to a "T" The loop is part hiking and part belaying. If you go without a rope take the right branch on the loop. As others have mentioned you will have to turn around but at least you will Summit.

If you hike New Mexico you will know that there is a lot of deferred maintenance on the trails. Winsor trail was adopted by the local mountain biking club and is amazingly smooth and beautiful. You will see many more tire tracks on this trail than boot . If you start at the main ski areas parking you will hike for about 3/4 of a mile only to connect with another access point for the trail from the road. This access appears to be a cross country ski track and it's about a half mile from the main entrance of the ski area. So you can start here or in the main parking lot. Finally the AllTrails app is way off on the elevation you lose about 3000 feet rather than some 300. Also an out and back on this trail would be about 19 miles.

A decent trail with great views. It follows an Old Forest Service road. So it is not really a trail but instead of road. There is no signage for the trail and just start up The forest service road that has a locked gate and a sign waning against parking in front. The grade is easy but steady for the elevation gain. Definitely make the effort to go to the top as the views open up. You will know that you're at the end when you reach the top of the Santa Fe Ski Area. I'm sure that this is a four or five star trail in the fall as there are tons of aspens as the name suggests. PS for Dirtbag campers like me there is great free camping around the parking lot of Santa Fe ski basin.

I did it on Father's Day with my 73-year-old dad. It is a very gentle 8 mile out and back. Temperatures reached 102 but we were rarely hot as it was easy to get into the stream. In a part of the country over run by gazing there was no sign of cows. As others have mentioned it dead ends in a spectacular waterfall. There are several side canyons. We went up one and saw a rather rare collared lizard. Definitely a five star hike!

Tiny legs structure of a hike. It winds through a new growth forest and has interesting interpretive signs. The Overlook looks over old hydraulic diggings. Great for when you have driven long distances and need to stretch out your leg and back. There are wonderful cross-country ski trails for the winter that take off here.
