This trail is closer to 14.5 miles, but it is absolutely worth seeing. Wild ponies, waterfalls, and large open fields. Part of this trail overlaps with the Appalachian Trail so you'll meet lots of hikers in the spring.

This trail seemed like it was uphill both ways but it was worth it for the view at the end. The fire tower was a spectacular conclusion to this hike. If I can offer any advice go in early because it was nearly dark when we started to leave and we got lost on the way out.

Two things you’ll need on this trail, extra dry socks and shorts. In order to make it down to the window clips and back you have to cross water 18 different times. Sometimes only ankle deep but other times up to your knees. A beautiful trail with plenty to look at and lots of rock formations. I’ll definitely be going back but I’ll probably wait until it’s a little bit warmer I still can’t feel my feet. The entire trail takes about 4 to 5 hours.
