Obsessed with this trail! Great for kids, adventure through rock hopping, and combine the Limekilns for a really fun trip.

Great hike for kids-- it's reopened and very easy to call and pay for $6 permit-- we had to print it out. We went up and made it a harder loop and came down the waterfall trail, well worth the extra work.

lovely flat trail on a gorgeous bluebird day. Fording the creek was a fun adventure, lots of kiddo's doing it. Creamery trail was closed but driftwood beach at the end a fun goal, will be putting in 50hikeswithkids.com!

I love Alltrails-- up-to-date reports helps me decide if I'll go or not. Blueberry day up top, and chilly but direct sun made it totally do-able with a fleece and jeans on. Very cool granite boulders and viewpoint and stairs at the top, plenty of kiddo's up there today!

Beautiful blue sky, and plenty of kiddo's heading up this trail on a Saturday! Pretty packed, but still enough breaks in between people to breathe and get some fun shots. Went in through North Rios Avenue, went right up through the canyon and out through the switchbacks and back again.

Love this trail-- a good challenge-and-reward for kiddo's, scrambling up the final rocks to get that view of the lake is a must! Went in December and no snow and caught a pretty sunset.

Stunning view and unique landscape! No one on the trail when we went-- and for good reason, it was about 90 degrees and a rattlesnake cross the trail and surprised us about one mile from the trailhead in the forested oak area-- be vigilent in going slower and looking for sure. Poison oak lined the entire trail and starthistle but we managed to make it through unscathed by going carefully. Wouldn't recommend to everyone, but anyone keen on adventure and proceeding with caution, the views reward! We did not see any ticks and triple-checked ourselves. Not kid-friendly.

Short but fun add-on to Abiqua Falls. Directions pretty good-- half mile past the ORV turn-off a pretty clear (but unsigned) left. You also go through a red gate which I was unclear about and definitely a road not for faint-hearted. Loved going behind the falls! Trail was all dried out and not muddy and a great place to escape the heat of the city.

A fun jaunt out to BC Falls and back-- a nice crisp November hike. Fun for kids with the bridge and make sure to go up to the viewpoint above the falls, a quick spur trail.

We went in November and it was wet but not too muddy. We also turned around at the log bridge so it was just about 4 miles round trip. The ending log bridge with its pebbly beach is great for kids to hang out in after the journey for lunch.

Parked at the third trailhead to make for a faster hike-- beautiful and a few sketchy spots with the snow. Road started to get a bit harder to pass as you approached the regular Salmon River trail.

Great fun easy trail and loved finding the different caves! Thre was snow on about 50% of the trail but not very icy and definitely navigable. Good for kids-- just a couple hand-holding spots for the littles!

Sunny day and the trail was in decent shape- a few muddy spots, snow-free, great for kids and saw a few birds roaming in the air!

Absolutely beautiful-- but icy right now! We struggled on our way down with just hiking boots but made it alright. You might want to wait a bit to try again. Nice and short and good for older kids! The junipers are amazing.

What a great winter hike-- was treated to a bluebird sky surrounded by lower clouds, and trail wasn't too muddy at all. Steady climb but definitely do-able for kids and what a fun, beautiful summit!

We started at the lower parking lot and looped counter-clockwise to Majestic Falls and back around to Royal Terrace. Trail is in great shape and still felt "wild" in many spots-- great for kiddo's. Well-signed-- just keep following the signs if nothing else!

Beautiful moss wonderland, a just-achievable good climb up! We didn't need poles and could walk the perimeter in the dirt the last half-mile-- the very final steps were deeper snow and a bit tricky but navigable with sneakers on. Fog started to come in but still got a peek of Mt. Index-- stunning!

They really cleaned this trail up! Road to the trailhead fine, and trail in good shape. Lovely falls and worth checking out the rock garden. Walking through the boulder a definite plus!

Beautiful hike! It's definitely a rapids, not quite a falls, but the small falls all along the way!

I definitely think the South Side was better just looking at the other side of the river; my dad definitely struggled a bit on the rocky terrain but nothing he couldn't handle, he just took it slow. We saw a group of about 75 8 year-old's on the trail! Lots of people rafting as well and beautiful fall colors.
