Breath taking in both respects! Great hike. I recommend you take two walking sticks. A great majority of the hike is wading in the Virgin River. Doing so is much like walking on submerged bowling balls. Having the sticks to help maintain you balance is very helpful. My partner, who is half my age, refused sticks and was much more exhausted than I upon completion of the hike.

Be sure to register with the Park. Flash flooding is extremely dangerous.

Great opportunity to visit some of the oldest living things on the planet. And see some great scenery to boot.

This place is not only beautiful and a great place to hike and swim, it is of such historical and literary and philosophical significance that there is no choice but to give it five stars. Plus it is just a fun place to hike.

I did this one on horseback. Wonderful scenery. One location enabled us to see into Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho and of course Utah, from the same point. We rode from Hwy 191 at McKee Draw to the Summit of Leidy Peak. We spent six days covering the distance.

Lots to see and do. I've seen Moose, Elk, Deer, Bear and Bobcats on the Loop. Plenty of fishing. Watch for logging trucks. Great places to hike, picnic, fish and hunt.

Wonderful place. Be sure and cool of in the Wind Cave, a gigantic slab of sandstone standing separate from the canyon wall. Watch for petroglyphs in the narrows. The huge rock across the river is called Steamboat rock. Consider hiking to Harpers Corner on this trip and perhaps the Yampa Bench road.

This trail starts at Swift Creek Camp ground. Be prepared to climb over a substantial mountain and back down to the creek before you begin the long grade up to the Timothys. I went as far as Grayling Lake and spent the night there. We found no Graylling, but the litlle natives in the lake fought like crazy.

If you can get out here shortly after they grade to road you can pick up old railroad spikes. A narrow gauge railroad was built to here from Mack, Colorado. The current road still follows the old railroad grade. Lots of history from the early days of Gilsonite mining. From here you can follow the old railroad over Baxter Pass to Mack and Grand Junction Colorado. It is only passable in the summer.

I take this drive three of four times a year. I love bird watching out there in the Spring. Also the Jensen Christmas Bird Count includes this tour. The scenery is outstanding and extremely unique.

This one is great. Lots of water fowl. I love to go here during the Mute Deer rut to see big bucks. A number of Elk inhabit the preserve. Also, porcupines are abundant and fun to see. Be sure to take the Shepherd's Bottom Loop and climb the tower that offers a terrific view of the Green River bottoms. All is driveable, though I have hiked the five mile Shepherd's Bottom loop twice.

Did this one back in 1967. Then the trail was hard to follow and we spent a lot of time of trail. Wonderful country though. Hopefully, the trail is much improved.

This one holds lots of memories. Lots of history and a good trip to add to a ride to Echo Park or Harper's Corner. Those would be the main feature, but this ride is great.

Myke Weber reviewed Multnomah Falls Trail

This one's a bit steep, but a perfect trail. There are few places on the planet more beautiful. Multnomah Falls is a classic example the the marriage of man and nature. I think the falls are more beautiful because of the bridge. The Orientals get this and obviously we have in the past, but any more we are increasingly resistant to man's "incursion" in nature. I heartily disagree.
