Finally did this hike, it’s been on my list of hikes for some time now. Overall it’s probably 1-2 hour hike. There were some dicey spots on this trail mainly where the rock slide areas are. Great for kids and dogs. Did this one with my dog and he did fine with the exception of dicey spots.
One recommendation is do this one early morning so you can beat the crowd. I was fortunate enough to get there when no one was around the mine. I was able to relax take some good shots and just enjoy the natural environment, sounds and fresh air.

In addition you will need an adventure pass. If you haven’t purchase one yet spend the 20-30$ to get a pass for the whole year.

    Perfect Family Hike!
Took my nieces and nephew on this and they loved every moment of it. The redwoods is a site to see and a peaceful place to just chill and relax. I've done this hike twice with my dog and Nieces and Nephew. Highly recommend. This can easily be done with one bottle of water. I'd also suggest having a picnic over at the redwoods it seriously a relaxing area to be in. Always be respectful and pick up after yourself.
    Safe Hiking Everyone!

This is definitely a family friendly hike! Pretty much a straight path from the trails head to the trail head of the falls. I did not see any signs that really lead the way to the falls but there are plenty of people of this hike that know. If you so happen to go on a day when there is no body around all I can say is that once you hit a spot on the trail that splits going on to a bridge and under bridge.. Take the trail that goes under it. From there is a straight forward hike to the falls. The falls down to a trickle and there were a lot of people. Definitely will come back later after its been raining.

    Another great day of hiking.
I didn't do the full loop for this hike I started from the trail head near the Griffith Observatory. From there you will cross a small bridge and you'll come to a few trail options. I took the shortest route to top which is pretty much a straight but a steeper climb to the top. There is a number of options on this trail so don't feel like you need to take the way it took. Wish I could load my trail but I left my phone in the car on this one.

    Couple tips

    1) Get there early. Parking can be tough later during the day and you'll have to pay by the hour. We got there at about 845am and it was already packed
    2) Start early in the morning cause there is absolutely no shade on this trail.
    3) Bring lots of water if you are going on a warm to hot day.

This is a real easy hike. It will be a mix of sun and shade for this trial. A portion of this hike will be up on a hill. On that trail you'll come across a split, one trail that will take you over to a 1.7 mile loop that goes around a reservoir and the other will take you back down to the nature center. This is probably an easy 1-2 hours hike.

    AMAZING HIKE

So much water to keep you cool along the way. But regardless you have to bring enough water for this hike. There is a little bit of rock scrambling and there are some spots where you can follow a real trail. I'd say most of the "flat" trail is on the right side while heading to the bridge. You will get wet, but if you make can make to the bridge with out getting wet kudos to you... I was hesitant doing this hike by myself in fear of getting hurt etc but you'll come across so many people along the way there's nothing to be afraid of. You'll make plenty of friends on this hike. I was glad I pulled the trigger and just did the hike.
    Be safe hikers!

This was an amazing hike and yes it can be difficult. Its the dry season so the first 2 miles of this hike you will be in and out of the river bed. I am curios how this hike looks during the wet season because I have no doubt you would be crossing the river multiple times. There is a lot of rock scrambling in turn there can be a lot of ways to twist an ankle on this hike so take it slow and steady. Towards the last mile of this hike the scenery drastically changes from being just a dry river bed to a lush wooded area with low level streams (probably much different during winter and spring). The falls were low but it is the dry season. This hike is a must and I will definitely return during the wet season. Stay safe hikers!
