Cathedral Grove trailhead and then it's up, up, up. Tough, steep climb. Worth the view!

    Worth it!!

This is a leg burner for sure! Just be smart about it and wear proper hiking shoes, layers, bring water and snacks for the top. It's a steep elevation all the way with a minor scramble at the very top. 90mins-2hours to the summit and lots of traffic on the trails.

The view was totally worth it! If you haven't been before, we didn't see any signage, so it would be easy for ppl to get lost and turned around. Be mindful of your location and take water and snacks with you.

Great hike around the lake. Little to no elevation gain. Trail is shared among everyone, hikers, joggers and mountain bikers. Well marked and great views!

Trailhead is easy to find and the hike has little to no elevation. Great views all around and if you're lucky, sea otter sightings around the point!

Trailhead is easy to find. Begins with an easy walk up to the Petroglyphs then leads to a 15min hike up to the Ridge. About 10-15mins past the Ridge, you'll find the Healing Circle and the Labyrinth. On clear days, you'll have great, beautiful views of all of Nanaimo. Bring a snack and plenty of water and please don't litter!

We lucked out on this hike with the weather. It's a very easy, little to no elevation gain. Keep an eye out for the handmade Owls along the trail. Make sure you make it to Dodd's Narrows and if you're in luck, you'll catch the sea otters feasting on fish across from Mudge Island. Bring a snack and water and please don't litter!

Easy walk through this location. Little to no elevation gain. Many, different trails in a contained area. So you can make this a 1km walk or a 5 km walk and be amongst nature. We shared the trail with hikers and trail-runners and dog walkers. Bring water, pick up after you dog and please don't litter!
