Sequoia Trail, Northern Escape Road, Redwood Trail totalling 6 miles. Trail map and signage could be better. Otherwise, we were awed to be among such beauty. Recommend for 7 and up.

Moderate rating appropriate, trail well marked and maintained. Quick steep incline. Fire tower views spectacular, signs at top level of fire tower identity mountains in the distance. Red Hill/fire tower trail up, blue trail/cabin down. 4.5 miles total. Recommend waiting for a clear day.

Apple Watch 8.5 in and out. Very dry and unseasonably warm October day, slightly hazy. An absolute favorite hike, reasonable steepness on ascent, some wet places. Use careful footing on descent. Trail on top not well marked, move carefully on ledges. Astounding views. Can’t wait to go back.

Holt to Holt-Clark cut off at Grand Junction. Clark to summit, to Mowglis to Firescrew- and descent Manning trail. Loved this hike. Very steep places on ascent and descent. Great challenge, beautiful day, foliage views, sweeping vistas, places to stop. Dry weather recommended.

Moderate and civilized. Bathrooms at top and Food! Fun with great diversity. Something for everyone. Saw groups of school children with packs heading up for a few day stay at the hut. My kind of classroom. Recommended.

Blue - yellow- blue loop, about 5 miles. Steep and a bit slippery in places, even on a dry day. Appropriately rated moderate, great fun. Outstanding views. Plenty of places to lunch and enjoy. 3 hours with generous breaks.

Parked at Church on 113, walked to side road then took left at mailboxes on to Ferncourt. Keeping heading straight down Red Trail (do not take right on Red Path), follow blue blazes. Trail begins on left before last house on the lane. Blue blaze is on telephone pole, across from pole is a blank sign (aged and faded). From there trail is well marked. Easy as described, several options or add-ones about halfway up. (Blueberry trail & Tilson trail on separate trails). We headed to Mount Katherine, 3 miles total trip. View is great. Quiet area. Vegetation interesting, deadfall but not at the summit.
