Trisha Ackerman reviewed Domhuttenweg to Suspension Bridge

We took the left side up (on the side of the hut) it was steeper. Then we hiked to the hut - another hard 40 min uphill. Crossed the bridge then down the other side which was a bit less steep. Too bad the clouds obstructed the views. Saw a few ibex under the bridge. Make sure you have thick shoes. Lots of rocks/boulders. Took us most of the day. Train station at bottom of trail to get to and from.

We made it to the second lake end of the trail. Some scramble between 1st and second lake. You can find the trail. Not many ventured on after the first lake. A bit challenging river crossing but doable. Two small snowfields. Highly recommend poles beautiful trail with waterfall and alpine lake. Wildflowers gorgeous at the top. Took a while because all the rocks.

Loved the gorgeous climb through the forest. 6 stream crossings, bristlecone pine forest, views of the mountains, and tons of mushrooms. Didn’t quite make it to the lakes, clouds were dark.
Great workout. Lots of rocks so bring thick soles. Saw marmots and pretty wildflowers.

Trisha Ackerman reviewed Scarp Ridge Trail to 421 Trail Loop

We did the loop counterclockwise ( less steep because of more switchbacks) left side has long snowfield doable without spikes. Trail in great shape. No avy damage. Little tricky getting to trailhead. Road in good shape but rough.

Great hike today 8 or 9 river crossings totally doable. Look for strewn logs to help across. Possible to drive to trailhead with high clearance vehicle no problem. Only one snowfield and amazing flowers at Mile 3.5. Waterfall was mostly under snow at end of trail. Mountains with gorgeous snow every way you looked. Did 8 miles total with extra mile before trailhead.
