heres a video i made with some clips of the trail if anyone is having second guesses or wonders. There are some people on here who i think have their ego's hurt when they see regular cars doing trails they think only Jeeps and Fj's should be doing but Webster Pass is no where near maxing out the potential of an outback or the likes. i never once scraped the bottom of the car or had any oh crap moments. This is the first all wheel drive car i have ever had and the first off road trail i have driven. For Rick Rigardo to say people die on Webster Pass is a bit extreme.... people die on I-25 too.... Anyways watch the video, i clipped in the "hardest" parts. Don't get me wrong there or big rocks and lots of slow bumpy driving but any stock all wheel drive car will get you to the top.

Great trail for the experienced or beginner (which i am)! There are a few parts that are sketchy unless navigated good as far as not wanting to bottom out or get stuck. I did this in a 2012 Outback and i must say i had no problems vehicle wise. there were a couple parts i got nervous or intimidated but the Subie pushed on! Only thing i have done to the car is 215/70/R16 Grabber AT2's and i cant stress how grateful i am to have had them! they add the extra confidence and traction needed!

I started at Hall Valley Campground side and finished in Montezuma. I am glad i chose this direction because coming form Montezuma there were a couple uphill switchbacks i think i would have either not made or had a heart attack doing! just very sharp and steep turns.... nothing too crazy as far as boulders or anything.

Weather was great. high 60's and sunny. at the top pretty windy with strong gusts but enjoyable. only saw in total about 3 jeeps and 2 four wheelers the whole journey. started about 07:30. hung around for about 2 hours at top. there are trials to hike if you would like.

was amazing hike with beautiful wild flowerd and scenic mountains. because of the distance and terrain not sure why it is rated as easy. I would rate it moderate. I i set the recorder from the parking lot to Lake dorothy shore and it was about 4 miles. If you walk around left of the lake over the ridge it is beautiful scenary of your whole hike.

started the hike about 715 a.m. and was hardly anyone on trail.... on the way back around 130pm there were quite a bit of people going torwards the lake.
