The trailhead was easy to find thanks to AllTrails. There’s no signage for the trail at all, but the path clearly leads away from the parking area. The path follows a stream bed with lots of loose rocks so sturdy shoes makes good sense. The overlook is about 1.4 mikes from the parking area. It was well worth the small amount of exertion. There is another trail that leads away from the overlook, but we didn’t take it. Maybe next time....

Traci Bray reviewed Appalachian Trail from Jug End to Bear Mountain

Parked at the Jug End Road trail head and hiked to the Mt Everett Summit. Loved this trail! Fantastic trail variation kept us interested and the many open vistas offered natural points to stop and catch your breath. We hiked up to the summit of Mt Everett first and then caught the loop around Guilder Pond back to the AT. Headed north to get back to our car. Finished about 10 miles in just over five hours. Would absolutely do this hike again!

Loved this loop today! Parking lot was easy to find for the Undermountain Trail. Took the Undermountain to the AT and headed north to summit. Great trail maintenance made for an easy ascent. The AT north down was steep and rocky, but not too difficult. Took the Paradise Lane Trail back to Undermountain and back to parking lot. Clocked just under 7 miles in three hours. Fantastic moderate hike with lots of interesting trail. Views at the summit were good.
