Good trail. Pretty easy. Trail and overlook/Raven Rock area can get somewhat crowded if you're looking for something more serene. Set of steep stairs down to the rocks. Manageable but just in case you want to know beforehand.

Great trail! We did the full 5 miles plus the additional little trail to Lanier Falls. A little hilly in some parts and the trail back from the falls along Campbells Creek is so peaceful and serene. This is also a much more lightly trafficked trail than the Raven Rock loop trail, which can get fairly crowded.

Excellent park! Hike was great. Many different trails and levels of difficulty to choose from. Huge variety of different outdoor options like hiking, biking, running, walking, swimming. Very dog friendly on forbidden drive section. Saw tons of dogs without leashes and all were well behaved. There's even a "dog beach". We saw about 10-15 dogs there and made me wish I had brought mine.

Steep incline and difficult in the beginning. Once you get to the top it flattens out for most of the rest of the trail. There's a pretty lake at the top. Keep an eye on the AllTrails map because it's easy to get off trail or on to another trail. One point connects to the Appalachian Trail. Also, know that to get to the falls you have to take a narrow, gravel road full of deep, unavoidable potholes and puddles the width of the road. If you're taking a nice car back there be prepared to scuff the bumpers.
***P.S. The waterfall is right at the trailhead and that's it. After that there's not really anything super eye-catching

Nice trail. Narrow trail part of the way so need to move over when passing with other hikers/bikers. Boulder outcropping on the orange trail was cool but short. In hindsight I would probably go back and loop into the red trail and give that a try.

Directions on the app lead you right to the trail head parking lot. I took the yellow trail and it was nice. I thought it was an easy trail, fairly flat. There are many points where the trail forks so I'm not sure if I took the yellow trail the entire time. A LOT of the rocks are painted. I sort of wish I had known that the park was known for this so I could of brought things to paint a rock. I brought my dog and he did great with all the boulders but if you have a dog that is skittish or not good with obstacles, I don't suggest bringing him/her because you won't be able to see some of the best parts.

This trail was AWESOME!!! So many cool things to look at. The lower half of the trail is Spring Mts Halloween attraction so walking through all of the displays off season is a little creepy but cool. Looks like it would be crazy hard/fun for a mountain biker as there's tons of bridges and jumps set up. You can also see all of the treetop canopy zip line obstacle course.

Trail was nice and some parts are fairly hard on the way up. The view at the top is definitely worth it. The app said it was a loop trail but when I got to the top and over to the other side the trail markers got so confusing and I wound up doubling back up and taking the same trail back. I don't know how it could be a loop unless you have to go through the main parking lot on the way back? I didn't see anyone else there except two mountain bikers toward the end. I would do it again. As long as you have somewhat of a sense of direction you're fine without the trail markers. Oh and the "trailhead check-in" with maps and all is over by the disc golf parking lot - nowhere near the actual trailhead. Don't follow the "directions" on this app, they aren't right. Just go in the main Bear Creek entrance
