    Last hiked summer 2015.

This is a raw bandit trail that my son and I had to fence-hop to access. According to the city, it's illegal to enter SC. But boy, is it worth it! Tons of gorgeous graffiti, slabs of broken asphalt and a view of the ocean that'll take your breath away!

Lots of broken glass and other trash, so wear some good shoes. Keep an eye out for the Jura (police), because they're not big fans of Sunken City explorers.

I most recently hiked this trail in 2015.

For my family, this is more than just a hike. The DA trail is a pilgrimage to something beautiful, fragile and sacred. Few words can describe the feeling of seeing this monolithic wonder for the first time.

Undoubtedly the Grande Dame of ARCH, Delicate Arch gets a lot of visitors. A LOT. But that shouldn't stop you from enjoying this trek. Hell, half the fun of DA is watching everyone's face as they come around the corner and see the arch for the first time.

I've met so many interesting people and seen some cool stuff on this hike.

What should you bring? Water; lots of water. Don't forget sunblock and a camera!

OR... You can be a hiking rock star like "Hiking Diva ." and hit the trail at 3am! That's the best way to have the whole place to yourself.

I last hiked this trail in 2015.

Alcove is a staple trail whenever my son and I visit COLM. It takes little time to complete and offers (almost) the full spectrum of flora and fauna you can expect at the park. Lots of shade too. Best of all, it's so close to the visitor center.

This is perfect for little kids!

I agree with Chuck (Gaines). My son and I mixed this trail with a leg from Sound of Silence and it was a real gem. Lots of wildlife and even a few no-shoulders lurking around. (Watch out!) If you're looking for a taste of the desert without wanting too much risk, this is the trail for you.

Great hike, even in the heat. Lots of raptors to see (no, not the dinosaurs ;-) and plenty of breathtaking vistas. Buggy as all get-out, so bring insect repellent or risk inhaling mosquitos!

Canyons doesn't get as much traffic as the Quarry, so picturesque solitude may be yours if you're lucky.

Whoa, this is a beautiful, but tough hike. Lots of bugs, too. Steel your kids ahead of time for a tough trek. That being said, the scenery is gorgeous and the picnic areas at the trailhead have plenty of shade.

I'd do Terraces again, but next time I'll bring my dog and not my kids. Just sayin'...
