Terence Mcgowan reviewed Herman Gulch Trail

I loved this trail! It is a good workout but not too hard. It is well maintained. There are plenty of beautiful sights along the way and at the end there is a very big payoff in the way of a beautiful lake surrounded by an awesome rotunda of rock. I took a dip in the lake and it was exhilarating to say the least. Highly recommended

I loved this hike! It's a fairly steep somewhat rocky climb in the beginning , then it becomes less steep and more scenic. There is a huge payoff at the end if you choose to summit the rock pile, the views from up there are amazing.

I really enjoyed this trail today. In my opinion if you want to go all the way around the lake the blazes are easier to follow if you go clockwise. That is the direction I went today and had no problems at all. The last time here I went counter-clockwise and had a bit of trouble

I love this hike. It has a fair amount of scrambling and the trail itself is rocky. I would suggest ankle support and good traction footwear especially if it is wet. Nice payoff at Anthony's Nose. Beautiful Spot. Good workout.

Enjoyed this very much. It was fairly steep both up and down in spots. Some of the scrambling sections were challenging for the dogs but they did them unaided. Would definitely do this again

Started this hike in the rain which thinned out the crowd and about a half hour in the rain stopped and it was awesome!

Terence Mcgowan reviewed Celeste Lake via Iceline Trail

The Iceline section of this hike may have been my favorite hike ever. Did the steep part first(hiked clockwise) and found it challenging but not brutal. If you do it this way the second half of the hike is a gradual descent through mostly woods and not nearly as exhilarating as the first half, but then again what is?
