the trail is .7 miles each way. the last .4 miles was difficult for me because I'm short and the steps up and down on rocks and tree stumps were steep. the footing is sometimes tricky too. once you get to the end, the falls is difficult to see around the corner without getting in the water, maybe it was just because it had been raining outside for days but I had to climb up on a rock that juts out into the river and I was able to get a good view. only saw 2 other people on the trail.

I went after it had been pouring rain and the falls were raging! I felt the hike was more difficult on my way back to the car than to the falls. I'm short so the bigger step ups and downs are harder for me, especially when the trail is wey and muddy. the waterfall was well worth it.

this hike was pretty easy to the narrows. coming back, I broke a bit of a sweat. we started the trail around 4:30 pm and ended up having the whole area to ourselves, although we walked back in the dark. the end viewpoint is definitely worth it.

we ended up going to a parking area where we only had to walk .025 miles, so we were bummed about that as we were prepared for something longer. the falls are absolutely gorgeous! definitely one of my new favorites. plenty of water flow from all the recent rain.
