Off of this loop trail you can also get to Grove of the Patriarchs and Ohanapecosh Springs. They are all interconnected trails. There is day use parking and toilets at the visitor center near Ohanapecosh Springs if you want facilities.

Great trail because 1. Bathrooms 2. Several crossing trails allow for flexibility in making a shorter or longer hike on-the-fly 3. Recycling 4. Riverfront camping. Bikes allowed on Old Railbed Trail. No fee for dayhikers.

Try to time your hike for low traffic because there are a lot of folks on the trail. It is nice the way they mark the switchbacks so you know how close you are getting. The top of the falls are accessible and you can put your toes in. Free parking and no entry fee.

This is not moderate in my book. Lots of loose, sliding shale. Trail is definitely NOT moderately trafficked. You are on your own, unless rattlesnakes count. This is for dedicated backwoods hikers who like a little more challenging terrain. Discover pass required.
