Alrighty. Humping it in from Ha’ena Beach Park, hiked it to the end which accordingly is 12 miles, but the miles felt really long. The first 6.5 miles is mostly in the jungle with the occasional appearances on the cliff ledge near the water. Mind you majority of the hike is on the ledge. If camping comes to mind going or coming back, you can camp at mile 2, mile 6, and at the end of the trail. Anyways, when you get to Crawler’s Ledge, just before mile 7, is where it opens up and the views get better. Be prepared to hear the helicopters the entire hike. Just before you descend to the beach, there’s a Kalalau sign and just to the left you get slapped with another amazing view. It’s a great hike. Just remember to stop then look. It can be slick along the trail so mind your step. Plenty of streams along the way, so replenish your water sources (filter). Fruit trees scattered about at the end and a waterfall as well to clean up and replenish your water sources. If you have extra food you don’t need, pass it on to some of the folks that stay camped out at Kalalau Beach. Enjoy!

Kayaked over to it (easy lazy). Scrambled to the top of Chinaman’s Hat. I took the front side approach to the top. There’s a trail that takes you to the top. Be prepared to do some scrambling all the way to the top. Definitely worth the short mini climb for the view of Oahu.

First part of the hike is rather boring. Starts getting more worth your while and scenic past the picnic table area. All up hill after it to. There’s a bench off the the left once you get through the tree roots, that has a decent vintage point. Remember to look behind every now and again, because the view behind you it primo, and takes your mind of the 1734727282 stairs to the ridge. Very slippery on the way back down, so mind your step.

Did this hike this morning. Was a little slippery from the stairs up. Mind your step coming back down. Limited parking. Moderate to hard pending your fitness level. Half way point is at the start of the stairs.

Can be slick when wet. Though has a couple viewpoints that are worth it. Easy/Mod trail.

Did this hike the other day for sunrise to capture it for time lapse. Steady incline to summit. Rather dusty at the bottom, and slippery if you don't have the best traction, though there's trees and ropes that you can guide your way up steady. Beautiful 360 views up top. Sunrise is stunning outlooking China's man hat. Got hit with rain just at the top going back down so made it a little tricky going back down. Best to wear shoes with decent traction. Several trails to go down and up to avoid crowded maneuvers.

Did this hike for the sunrise this morning to use time lapse. Got to the top about 40 minutes before the sunrise. Best to go early no battling foot traffic coming down while you're going up, aside from the old man that does laps on it. Was busiest when heading back down to the car park around 8. Best to do this one early to save from crowds and the heat. Mind your knees too, bring water and hydrate.
