What a view! Wow... a bunch of stairs! Totally worth the slow stair adventure on the way back up to the trail. Don't worry about having to rest between flights. There are random levels to rest and catch your breath, if need be.

My favorite hike of all time...so far! Accidentally took the ranger led hike down to the shore of Grinnell Lake, not knowing the glacier trail head was by the boat dock. Did see a black bear cub and we all were a bit nervous because we didn't know where the mother was located. Finally got back to the trail head after the 2-hour ranger led hike and started hiking up towards the glacier. Only got about halfway up the trail before heading back due to time, but the views were simply amazing! Moose, deer, bears, big horn sheep and other small critters are up there in late June. Beautiful!!!

The drive to the trail head may take a while and is best suited for an SUV, but I saw a few sedans at the parking area. Only saw a couple of people during my short hike on some of this trail. Gorgeous slot canyon and the water was fairly low on the day I went hiking. Worth checking out if you are in the area!

The hike on the paved trail is beautiful and very relaxing. Hiking past the paved trail in the water was just amazing! Didn't bring the insulated shoes, but did have watershoes to put on when getting to that section of the hike. Didn't get as far as I'd have liked, but loved every second of what I did experience. Even the numb, cold and wet feet! :-)

Driving from Capitol Reef to Canyonlands, made a stop at Natural Bridges National Monument. Glad we did! Only had the chance to hike to this one natural bridge. Not a very long hike and all downhill from the parking area, but the hike back is all uphill. Not much shade, so bring water.

Great hike to see a natural bridge in a beautiful National Park! It didn't take too long, but the first part to Hickman Bridge was all gain. After that part, the rest is fairly easy. Worth the heat if you go mid-day in late June!

Wow! That's all that needs to be said! If you get the chance to visit SouthWest Colorado, stop at Mesa Verde and visit this amazing historical site! The hike down and out of the Cliff Palace can be a bit difficult for some, but if you take your time you can experience something wonderful. The National Park rangers are an added bonus, if you enjoy learning something about the area and people.

Easy hike from the parking area, though walking through the sand is a bit of work. The nice part is that the hard part of the hiking is nestled between the rocks and is quite cool. The colors are amazing and the slow, walk is so worth it!
