Did the White Cairne Trail to the Blueberry Ridge Trail, then came down the Shell Pond Trail to the Stone House Trail - 4.1 miles total. It was a nice hike on a Sunday morning while in the area. There were better views on the way up than there were at the top, but the top offered a nice little loop overlook trail, and there were plenty of areas for groups to sit without being on top of one another. There is a small parking lot about a half mile from the trailhead, but most people parked along the road. As others have mentioned, you need to walk down Long Pond Road a bit before getting to the trailhead, but it's a nice field area with a rock/dirt road.

We went from Pinkham Notch to Boott Spur Trail, continued on past the summit onto Davis Path to Crawford Path to Mount Washington, then went down Tuckerman's. 9.2 miles total. It was great to avoid the crowds on Tuckerman's and Boott Spur was amazing - what views! You're completely above treeline for most of it and then after the summit have a nice flat stretch on Davis for a while before Crawford's Path. From there you can see the lines of people trying to get up Lion's Head. All in all highly recommend taking Crawford's because it allows you to travel up Washington's backside, avoiding the unsightly views of an auto road, parking lot and trolley.

Heavy foot traffic on the trails but good hike and great views at the summit! Was a little cloudy the day we went but would love to go back.

This trail was short yet challenging - I did the full loop by going up the North Trail, checking out the views from multiple outlooks, then going down the South Trail and taking Long Pond Road back to my car. It had steep moments but everything was very dense and stable. A very wooded area with thick trees, only opens up at the outlook points. Some of the outlooks are a bit dangerous, so be sure to keep your dogs on their leashes and pay attention to children (there are signs warning this as well). A little muddy but was still early in the season.

Definitely more challenging towards the summit, but the way back goes much quicker. As noted in other reviews, only views are from the fire tower, with a small exception to a little patch hidden in the trees that opens up a bit.

My absolute favorite! A really nice hike with a lot of challenges, twists, and turns, but very exciting. I had an old map and description which threw me off a bit (I didn't know it had been redone so I was looking for the wrong things), but the trail itself was very well marked. Some steep rocky areas were a bit scary but definitely doable. Eagle Rock itself was breathtaking. I would love to go back again!

There are two trails, North and South, which do not connect at the bottom. I planned to go up the South trail and head down the North, so I left my car at the North Trailhead (a little difficult to find on 5A, no markings) and had a friend drop me off at the South Trailhead, about 3 miles away. This appeared to be the main entrance with a parking area, large board, etc. Hike was not too challenging and there are multiple lookouts, all of which were amazing. Noticed a few dogs and children so definitely a friendly hike to all.

Only one less star for the incredible difficulty finding the trailhead. Definitely further down than any map that shows where it is; I was on CCC Road for quite some time. Parking lot is on the right with the trailhead immediately after. The hike itself was amazing - lots of variety on the trails with rocks, steps, and winding paths, and 3 separate lookouts. The North and East lookouts were incredible. Bring bug spray!
