So I did this hike yesterday (September 5th) in 85 degree weather. It’s not a super long hike but prepare yourself for the intense work out. From the very start, the incline is crazy. About 3/4 ways up, the incline becomes even crazier lol!! I would suggest taking extra water on super hot days. The view at the top was amazing!!!! The trail sign is literally on the street. I drove past the sign twice, so keep an eye out. This hike is marked as moderate on this app but the sign at the actual hike site states difficult. I would rate this hike on the high end of moderate.. low end difficult. Parking wasn’t an issue.. I paralleled parked on the street. They are no bathrooms on site. Happy hiking ☺️

This was a pretty difficult hike. Started off easy then became more and more intense. Once we got to the water falls it was worth it. Bring lots of water on a hot day. Terrain is a bit too sketchy (in my opinion) for small kids and dogs.

Very challenging hike.. but it was worth it. Once we got to the top, there was a line of people waiting to take pics on the chip. Some shaded areas along the way. Best to start early in the morning. Definitely take caution in super hot weather. Bring lots of water!!!

Super easy hike with awesome views. Took my 7 yr old daughter on this hike twice and she loved it. You have to pay for parking but other than that this is a great hike.

This hike was relatively easy. Parking kind of sucked but if you get there early enough you should be fine. Brings lots of water especially on hot days.

Ok, so I did this hike on August 30th!! Let me just say that I completely underestimated the difficulty of this hike. For starters, they were not many people on the trail (I saw 3 people total). I did this hike alone. I decided to go around 2pm and didn’t finish until 5:15pm. I got lost twice on the way down. They are different paths along the way so I was relying on the map to guide me. However, I lost signal on the way down (twice) hence the reason why I got lost. I was able to find my way back though. As far as the terrain, the hike up wasn’t that bad. The hike down was a bit more challenging and pretty steep at some points. I started on the trail heading north.. and descended south. Please please please learn from my mistake and bring PLENTY of water! I literally ran out of water half way down and felt like I was going to die lol no lie! I would rate this hike on the high side of moderate leaning towards difficult based on the terrain and the length. 6.3 miles is no walk in the park!! Also, they are no bathrooms on site! Happy hiking ✌

Relatively easy hike if you’re an avid hiker. This is my go to hike to do alone. I’ve been hiking cowles mountain for 8 years now and the view at the top never gets old!! Water is definitely needed on a hot day.
