A steady but steep incline up to 360 views from the summit, awesome hike and workout!

Stephen Vitello reviewed San Jacinto Peak from The Tramway

Incredible hike and change of scenery along the way. The tram ride up was well worth the money as well, very cool experience shooting up through the mountains. In terms of difficulty, I’d say it’s on average a moderate hike compared to most 10-12 mile hikes of similar elevation gain, nothing technical and never need to use hands/knees, very manageable if conditioned for this distance. Go on a clear day because the views at the summit are beautiful and 360.

Relaxing path for a stroll, not many people. Benches at the top of the quarry are a nice place to stop and relax. Would recommend boots or shoes you don’t mind getting dirty

Great views of plateaus and mesas in the valley, the rings at the end are unique and fun. Worth doing it even if the rings are too challenging.

All the incline is at the end making for a good workout with rewarding views at the finish! Very enjoyable and well marked hike. Great views of the Dome!

Favorite trail to date! Was well cleared and easy to follow, a lot of switchbacks along a steady incline but very doable. Go on a clear day and the views are unrivaled!

Definitely would rank this as a moderate hike, the inclined parts are very steady and nothing too steep, making for an excellent day hike! The falls at the end are even more beautiful than the pictures, highly recommended!

Great hike for exercise and views of downtown LA and the surrounding area! Once at the top you can take to an extra 0.8 miles across the mountain ridge to stand behind the Hollywood sign, this part is more challenging but definitely worth it!

Great challenging hike, but not too many views until the top... but the views at the top make it all worth it, beautiful! Great workout too. Doing this one in February made the last 2 miles slow and difficult navigating thru the slick ice, but definitely able to figure it out using higher ground next to the trail.

As advertised, very easy, but an unbelievably scenic stroll. Some dirt trials so wear boots if raining
