Beautiful winter hike with lots of ice and snow along the trail! Took the lower trail to the falls and the upper trail back. So pretty. Nice bathroom facilities at trailhead. $3 fee. Worth every step!

I didn't consider this a hard trail at all. There is a bit of climbing in a few areas but nothing super strenuous. You do cross a creek so your feet may get wet unless you have Ahnu boots like I did. Slippery in places due to recent snow and ice. Run off from melting snow makes places a bit muddy and slick. As long as you pay attention to your footing, this isn't a problem. Some parts of the trail are narrow. The falls are well worth the short hike to get there. Lots of pretty scenery along the way. Nice size parking area at the trail head.
