Views: Crystal clear river, old trees, two waterfalls.
Difficulty: Easy the inclines are spaced out and there's plenty of flat walking areas.
Trail conditions: Beginning of March- trail was muddy in some spots overall wasn't too bad. The trail didn't have as many people as Rattlesnake or Poo Poo Point.
Overall: This was a beautiful hike! We brought our dog, and he loved it!

We were immediately greeted with wildflowers pulling into the trailhead parking lot. The trail is rated moderate and is a 2.9 mile loop. My main interest in choosing this trail was seeing the natural slides. We must have taken a wrong turn because we ended at what I thought was a dead end. After looking at a map when we were back in the car, we were actually only 200 meters upstream from the slide… so close! Regardless this was a beautiful secluded walk that ran along a babbling stream. For more visuals of ohiopyle go to sleepydog.dog

The trailhead for this is right off of Main Street. After enjoying the temptations of greasy pizza we decided to walk off the indulgence. The trail takes you along the other side of the Youghiogheny River. This is a great trail because you get the views of the Ohiopyle Falls without all of the mouth breathers ruining the view. This is classified as an easy trail, and doesn’t take too much energy to complete. However, if you have trouble walking on uneven slippery terrain, then think twice before going on this trail. The trail is lined with bushes of rodadendrain and ferns with rocky terrain. The highlight of this trail was towards the end, there’s a large rock were you can relax to the sound of water rushing by you. Follow us at sleepydog.dog to learn more about Ohiopyle!

This overlook offers great views of the Youghiogheny River Gorge. A one minute walk from car to vista. If you stray off the main path, be careful of the poison ivy! This overlook is about a 5 minute drive from town, and has some trails within the vicinity.
