I would not suggest this trail for parents with small children or older adults with any balance issues. It starts nice & flat but quickly becomes a haven for tree roots & rocks that easily trip hikers. Because it is a dirt trail it becomes very muddy and slick when it rains. The “overlook” for the Falls was disappointing, had we known this my group would have turned around at the first small falls we passed, about three quarters of a mile in. (This is mostly due to the fact that it began to rain while we were at the overlook & therefore had to hike almost a mile back to our car soaking wet).

Very pretty and green and follows the stream the whole way. I would like to try it again when it isn’t raining for the hike back up.

Maintenance was being done today, to get rid of some of the overgrowth onto the trail but I don’t think there’s much to be done about the 5 or 6 trees across the trail. This doesn’t make it impossible to continue, just slows you down a bit.

Easy trail, a bit slippery after a little rain. Very green, forested area, watch out for spider webs and snakes across the trail. Muggy weather conditions make you sweat for sure! (I suggest wearing contacts so your glasses don’t fog up, this was incredibly frustrating).
Really neat view at the top, worth the hike up!
