Absolutely beautiful trail. It still amazes me that you can hike through a spectacular Redwood forest and end up on the beach (and a undeveloped beach)! We recorded about 12 miles total to get all the way to the beach for lunch and then head back. Saw very few people and felt complete solitude. Amazing scenery and energy. Definitely recommend.

We just went directly to Hidden Beach which was a beautiful and easy one mile walk. The AllTrails map is not really accurate for this one, as it shows Hidden Beach much further down than it really is. If you park in the Lagoon Creek parking lot and start on the Yurok Loop Trail, you’ll see signs for Hidden Beach. We didn’t see anyone out there, so this was just a spectacular place to end our day and watch the sunset.

Absolutely stunning trail...don't miss this one! The forest here was not dense, so the Redwoods clearly are the star. Really stunning. My heart is longing to go back. Like the other reviews, this moderate trail was on the easy side. It shows 875 ft elevation gain but I didn’t really feel it as it was gradual. Stunning!

We only had a little bit of daylight left and were in the vicinity so we chose this short, beautiful trail. Only problem was you could hear the street noise (hence the 4 stars). The park service is trying to re-establish the waterfall and creek which were covered over years ago due to logging…hence the pipe that someone complained about. But we found it quite beautiful.

The Ranger suggested we come in from Redwood Creek to access this trail and it was spectacular! I highly suggest this route. You’ll start at the Tall Trees trailhead but take the Emerald Ridge Trail down to Redwood Creek. From there you’ll head north up the creek for about 1.7 miles. There is no established trail which made this extra exciting with only minimal risk. It’s absolutely gorgeous down there, but you will have to cross the creek in several places with water up to mid-calf (it was early November when we did it). Our trekking poles came in very handy and I suggest bringing an extra pair of socks! Just extraordinary scenery and solitude. You’ll have to find the trail that cuts you into Tall Trees loop…we used All Trails to show us where we were and so it was easy to see when we were close to the loop. The loop itself is beautiful of course, and then we exited via the Tall Trees Trail. Highly, highly recommend this route as the creek was just beautiful. Don’t forget your permit before you go.
