This was a nice walk, several trees down across the trail, none that you could not navigate over or under. The ranger at Sharp Bridge said he was working his way up the trail to clear some of it and you could see he had been. The pond was nice, but the flow was the real prize. The wild flowers were amazing. Lady slippers, Jack in the Pulpit and Trillium, others as well, but I don’t know the names. The campground was nice too, very quiet and laid back. Was treated to a pretty spectacular thunderstorm the night I stayed.

Wheeler is one of my favorites. I try and do it at least once a year. I can’t quite get myself to do that last push up to the top of Eagle, it is just a little too steep for me. But I love to get up to the other open rock faces, even if you don’t want to go all the way up Eagle, keep going after you enjoy the first open face. Go past the closed (blocked view) face and you will find another open face worth checking out! And if you have time , stop down the road and do the Gnome Stairs!

What a great hike! Do not let the scrambles at the very top deter you, keep going-trust me, it is worth it!! There were a ton of people and pups on the trail, but it never seemed crowded. A few wet/muddy spots, but not bad. There was a nice breeze that kept a majority of the bugs at bay, but I would still recommend spray. The views were amazing. The trail master was at the top and was super nice, knowledgeable and a willing photographer! Thanks to Joycelyn Smith (review below) for the directions to the plane crash, super easy to find.

Great trail, sad I was not able to cross the brook to get to the pond, but still a good hike.

Still a bit muddy in spots. Very crowded at the top, hard to enjoy the summit with all of the people talking loud and on their cellphones. Lots of spring flowers along the trail.

Great option in mud season and the view was great, lovely spot to enjoy lunch. Elevation gain gives you a nice workout. Tons of spring wildflowers to see on the way to the top.

One of my all time favorites. The hike is great and the view from pulpit rock is amazing. The summit view is okay, but the real view is overlooking the crystal clear water from pulpit rock.

I love this trail. I have done it in the fall in the past and decided to do it this winter with snowshoes, what a great hike. I even got to see a dogsledding team out running the trail.

Great little hike when you don’t have a lot of time but want to get out there. Was a bit muddy in spots and still had a few patches of snow and ice this weekend. Trail was well marked and looped into other trails. Hoyt’s lookout had a much better view than the summit, I recommend taking the time to take the side trip out to it.

I did the trail in the late fall last year. It was a great hike, lots of little waterfalls along the sides of the trail. Had a little bit of early snow on the ground. Some elevation, not a lot Trail was well marked and easy to follow.

This was a great hike, I only went up to ore overlook because of time, but the view was great. I had the trail all to myself as all of the other hikers went on other trails. The only other foot prints in the snow were deer it was amazing.

What a fun trail to hike in the snow and ice-wear your micro spikes! The summit is amazing and getting to slide down in some spots was a blast!!

Great hike, was windy and snowing-the shelter made for a nice place to get out of the wind to have a snack and a rest before heading back. The trail is well marked and easy to navigate. There were some beginning patches of ice right at the ledge where the ladder is, so tread easy!

What a great set of trails, I hiked, but am betting these are a blast on a bike! The all intersect and loop together so you can make it as short or as long as you want.
