Fairly easy hike, steady with not a lot of incline. Walking alongside the vast open meadow is so beautiful and unlike what I'm used to. Flowers are blooming and the eagle rock is pretty awesome.

Hands down the best! Incredibly challenging. A steady trek down a mile or so to then be greeted by steep sandy and extra chunky rocky road hills, (ropes conveniently located where needed). Then you gotta hug boulders and rock climb your way towards the mid falls. Advanced folks kept climbing up towards the highest fall, I trusted my gut and stayed safely put. Wear trail runners or hiking boots, you'll need the traction. Bring tons of water (1-3 liters). Early am arrival suggested for optimal parking and well, the sun will beat you up nicely come late morning. Gosh, truly incredible adventure. The hike is as rewarding as seeing the waterfalls. Makes the bumpy drive on boulder creek rd not so terrible. Enjoy!

I've done this trail too many times to count. Great incline for the tush. The flowers are in full bloom right now which is a nice switch up from the usual brown.

Pretty nice n easy trail until you get to the last leg downhill scramble to the creek. The water was flowing nicely thanks to the recent showers. Loved the clear, well maintained path. Made for a great trail run back to the car.

Get your permit ahead of time! Visited on MLK 2017 after recent rain to ensure an active waterfall. Easy trek down to the falls- clear obvious path, jogged most of it. The falls took my breath away! Lucky to have caught them eagerly roaring. Shout out to the folks who fearlessly jumped into the ice bath. A definite next time for me. The hike up was a real rear kicker; don't stop for an optimal workout. Bring tons of water! With little to no shade and a steady incline, you'll need it.

4 stars only because of the flowing river and views at the end. Pretty flat trail which I'm ok with but 7miles of it will get a little old. Luckily I had great company and there were tons of dogs splashing around in the pools. Trail runners would love this hike.
