Dry Mountain is a very underused trail. You have to drive to Santaquin Meadows and turn west at the road that goes off. From there its a 1/2 mile to the gate/fence area where you can park you car. The trail itself has some growth over it but once you hit the saddles its straight up from there. During the summer there are tons of flowers and butterflies, and is the only mountain that gives you a great view of the Nebo Loop Trail's surroundings. Pretty short for such a high mountain (given the car gets you halfway up)

Went up to maple lake and camped the night there. The snow up there is untouched and we were probly the first people since November to be up that high. Beautiful this time of year. Had to start from the mouth of maple canyon though and the one way journey took us about 7 hours. 12+ inches of powder once you get above 6,000 ft

Aside from the face of Y mountain and then the beginning of slate canyon this hike is very scenic. From the backside of maple mountain until the face of Y mountain is incredible green and in some places has foliage that grows over the trail at 7 feet tall. Very secluded and has little traffic. Definitely worth it, especially if you’ve already done the bigger hikes in the area.

There are definitely better trails out there however, this is still worth doing in my opinion. Its not very scenic and the waterfall is small. Still fun to explore around though.

This is a hard and completely uphill hike but is well worth the effort. The lake is beautiful and reflective and the quarts is majestic. Its also nice because you can look over utah valley the whole time.

This was a 4.5 mile hike. I went in mid december since we havnt seen any snow so far. I had to part at the entrance of Maple Lake (just off the Nebo loop road). nothing too impressive but good to get to know the area if you're a local like myself. Both red lake and maple lake are frozen over.

This hike is uphill the entire time with few exceptions. After mapping it out in detail it is 5.3 miles to the top, however, its a tedious 5.3 miles. Harder than timp in my opinion. Very pretty though all the way up and you go through forests, lakes and wildflower meadows.

Went up to the very top today starting at 4. It was pretty hot but bearable. The meadows up the canyon and mountain top are covered in beautiful flowers and also tons of bees! 2 hours up one hour down. Seems like it would be a beautiful winter/snow hike
