Hiked this trail on June 22 with my wife and 5 of my kids age 4,7,8,13,14. Had to help my 4 yr old over some fresh snow from the night before but otherwise made it very easily. Two spots were slippery but with care we made it no problem. Trail was a little crowded but everyone was helpful and patient and polite. You mustn’t stop before you see Emerald Lake, which was still. Mostly frozen

Super cool place. I wouldn’t call it a hike though!

Hiked this trail on June 22 with my wife and 5 of my kids age 4,7,8,13, and 14. Fresh snow on trail from the night before. Had to help my 4 year old over some snow at two slippery spots (one at the bridge by Dream Lake) but otherwise she handled the trail pretty easily. Trail wasn’t too congested but we did have to wait a few minutes at the bridge by Dream Lake, due to the slippery packed snow, but everyone was pleasant and helped one another. Views along the trail were very pretty. Emerald Lake was still mostly frozen over but worth the trip!

Planned to hike this trail at dusk due to the heat but actually made it to the trailhead at 2:00. Hiked with my wife and 5 of my kids age 4,7,8,13,and 14. Everyone had a camelback with at least 1.5 liters of water., which we needed! We found a few shady spots along the way to take breaks and thankfully the wind would blow and cool us down. Coming back was much easier than going out. It is such a neat place to see, I’m glad we didn’t give up. We did not stay long because there is very little shade at the Arch and it was hot, but it is worth sitting a few minutes and taking in the awesomeness!
