Much of it is on pipeline which if full of mountain bikes (on even days) and makes for a dangerous hike. Missed the turn off

Bumbling Utah Mountaineer reviewed Wheeler Creek Trail

Only Wheeler Creek Trail plus East Fork Mtn Bike as warm up to XTerra. Lower part is a gravel, rocky road, nothing special and super crowded. Meadow up top is nice with good views. Did as a training ride for XTerra, good workout. Fun descent. Wouldn't do this for any other reason than I did. Other much more pretty less crowded places to go.

Mtn bike from Guardsman; beautiful trail and ride; don't give many 5 star ratings but this trail is a must do; was an odd day so rode out to Pinebrook (car shuttle)

Bumbling Utah Mountaineer reviewed North Fork Provo River Trail

Review for first 3.5 miles in (7 mi RT), minimal elevation gain. Trail is away from the river, you can hear but not see it much of the way. Access to the water is a little out of the way. Water flow is nice, definitely not too high anymore. First two miles of the "trail" are on a road/snowmobile track. Then if becomes a proper trail. Tell your friends it sucks and keep them away ;)

This is a beautiful little hike. Started at 6pm. Ran, hiked, it. The falls are about 1/4 mile past the wooden bridge. Take the left fork. I was too busy trying to catch my sun that I went the wrong way for a bit. Anyway beautiful view of a decent sized waterfall. Ran, hiked it back up. Pretty steep and invigorating. Oh ya, 85% shaded so perfect for a hot summer afternoon.

Bumbling Utah Mountaineer reviewed Little Rock Creek Lake Trail

The trail is very rock throughout, makes for slow going. Moreover, there are several downed trees and lots of run off makes for large tributaries to cross. Between trail finding and water, took a long time to get to the lake. Having said that, the canyon was beautiful, and the creek itself was amazing. Such high water. There was a 5.8 earthquake at about 1230am to make it that much more fun. Just a little ground shaking, thought it was from the high water til I came out and read the paper.

Up Albion to the lift, followed that up a snowfield to the top and then east up another snowfield to the trail. Snow free at the peak. Ski poles helpful for balance, microspikes helpful but not necessary. Returned by glissading down from the saddle between Devils Castle and the peak. RT was about 6 miles. 2400 feet elevation gain. Beautiful 360 degree views.

Bumbling Utah Mountaineer reviewed Cecret Lake Trail

Started at the closed gate at the end of Little Cottonwood road, went directly up the canyon and then on the ridgeline to the East. Lake is partially melted. Absolutely beautiful turquoise color. Sledded back down. Took about 3 hrs and 20 minutes RT (see my recording) 1200 ft elevation gain, about 3.5miles RT. Recommend ski poles and microspikes. Snow is melting fast, will be gone soon.
