Nice walk through some desert and mountain scenery. Climbed some of the mountains and had a lot of fun. Age range was from 4 to 40.

It's a fairly easy hike. The entrance and final climb is a little steep. I had my 3 kids out there on the trail and they all made it the whole way except for the youngest who is 3 years old and he only made it 3/4 of the whole trail.

The trail is very visible through the woods and wide enough for two side by side for parts of the trail. The river was flowing but it wasnt very high. Apparently it's been a real dry year. We only did a couple miles since our youngest is only 2 years old. There are some bigger rocks along the ay that the kids climbed on. If they like climbing, they will enjoy the trail even more. I loved the trail alot though since I live in the desert and miss the woods and flowing water.

My wife, Matty-poo and 3 kids (10, 5 and 2) only made it as far as Pratt lodge. It's pretty cool that it's fully furnished. The views from the canyon floor up to the peaks was awesome! My kids loved the stream we had to cross but the heat of the day was exhausting for the kids. We all loved it though.

My wife, two kids (9 and 4 years old) completed this in about 4 hours. It was a great hike through the wash and being able to do some bouldering. Luckily it was cloud covered for most of the day. On the way down we saw a goat that looked like a mountain lion got. It was completely gutted and all that was left was skin, bones and horns. Be very cautious of the animals in any area you go to.

Found at the Edgemere Linear Park. You walk from one side to the other. It has several trees along the way but is unfortunately just a strip in between some roads.

We walked this one a few times. The scenery is great and not that long but it is steep so its not the best for younger kids.

Mostly shaded over along with a few benches makes this trail a treat. You can hike, ride horses, mountain bike, swim and/or fish. This trail takes you from the Washington gate all the way to Milford lake.

It was a good hike for my 4 and 9 year old. We enjoyed the lake along with the views that came along it. There's also a playground so the kids can rest or do something different.

I did this trail at least 16 years ago when I was still in middle school. I went with my two younger brothers. We had a lot of fun climbing boulders and just running around. It was a great trail.

Great trail to hike through. I had planned on mountain biking the trail but am glad I hiked due to all the dogs running around. They were all very friendly dogs.

I was able to take a slower pace and really check out the views. It's an awesome shorter hike but the sunset there can be grand!

After following a trail for a short distance you begin to follow a dry creek bed until you get to the dry waterfall. Along the way we saw tons of lizards and even a few velvet spiders. Once we got to the waterfall my friend and I climbed up into the cave and saw a pretty huge moth.

As you begin this trail you are met with a spectacular view. The Rio Grande flowing through a canyon. It rained before we got there so we had to hike through a creek first and the climbed a steep walkway to the top of the trail. it was an amazingly beautiful trail and view all the way through.

Definitely bring water on this one. We did this one midday in 100+ degrees. It was awesome seeing the palm tree picnic area. As well as the historic buildings that are still there. The hot springs felt nice but would be so much better during cooler temperatures.

We stopped here as we were going on a 5 hr trip simply as a rest stop. Ended up doing a beautiful trail along a creek that was pretty tough as it was ascending all the way. I am looking forward to doing this one again.

Nice little 11 mile drive up through Trans Mountain Highway. There's a good place to stop and do some scenic viewing at the peak. Also a State Park on the side to stop and do trails.

A great trail alongside the Rio Grande in Big Bend National Park. Steep little entry and after a little descent it levels out. Among some trees by the river you can see The Singing Jesus!
