6.38 miles..easy trail. lovely view of river and flowers. circles Folsom Prison. halfway point across the Folsom Crossing is not too pleasant, but the rest is good.

Awesome Hike. multiple waterfalls, creek and the two lakes.... Very Rocky fir the first mile, two stream log/rock crossings. Grass Lake is beautiful. We clocked 5.7 miles. Old Glen Alpine camp/lodge was great to see. So sad it's no longer operational, but old photos on the scrapbook bulletin board were great to see. Would definately do it again.

One of the most inspiring hikes . Breath taking beauty . flowers, str-eams. lakes vistas Incline is what Iwould Call moderate plus! But worth it . Patches of snow at twin lakes places the trail up was confusing and unclear we lost it 3 times, but after side bunny paths we would reconnect again . she way back was more Clear because you could see down fartheR and see the path . Going up there are many possible . forks & not clear indicators in a few places. Ighess we missed . everyone: But we made it! on the way back CloudsCame in & thunder rolled which added to the whole experience . Will definitely do again.

we loved it. we went clockwise which means you go through all the campgrounds first and then after the waterfalls you have the private area the private part of the hike the second half is a lot more up and down Hills so if I did it again I would go counter-clockwise and it is longer than 7.7 we clocked in around 8.8.

great hike, shaded lots of up and diwn, a couple trickling creeks with black berrues, interesting variety if trees and butterflies. one note if you plan a sunrise hike, like we did, the parking lot doesn't open til 7 am, but we parked along the road and walked in just before 6 am. Lake is lovely, going to come back to kayak.
