Great little hike with views all around on the last half of the trail. Take a hard left shortly after the river crossing and the trail will take you close to the base of the mountain. From here it’s a steep hike on loose rocks, but if you can find the cairns slightly left of the GPS track it will make it somewhat easier of a climb to the summit. Nothing too difficult about this trail besides the steepness. Good views of the higher peaks in the area as well (Rae, Arethusa, Storm, and Tyrwhitt).

First of all, the majority of this track is wrong, or will at least take you on a direct route up the mountain that involves hours of bushwhacking and difficult scrambling only experienced people should attempt. The easier and more scenic route takes you over the second bridge and to the end of the old road where you meet up with Tennant Lake. From here you wind along the southeast coast over the bluffs, carefully following cairns, to the bottom of a cliff and a stand of trees where you start the second portion of the climb to Mt. Myra. After a while you come to the second lake, Sandbag Lake, which is an excellent place to camp if you don’t want to tackle the whole climb in a day. From this lake, the path winds East towards the summit ridge. Again following cairns you should be able to easily make it over and around the back of the first two false summits. To reach the true summit takes some easy to moderate scrambling directly up the Southwest face. If you continue too far along the back side as this gps track will suggest, you’ll be forced to tackle a very exposed gully which made me uncomfortable more than a few times. I would also not recommend descending from the tracked gully as a fall would most certainly be life threatening or fatal. Putting that all aside, this hike is one of the best I’ve ever done, with 360 degree views of a majority of the major peaks in Strathcona park as well as many alpine lakes and tarns to camp at. I would recommend taking your time on this one as the full trek is closer to 20km and paired with the hefty elevation gain would be a very long day hike.

If you don't like crowds start early. The first section to Lake Agnes is highly congested, but once you're past the Little Beehive turn off there's barely anyone. Definitely worth it with the views from the top! I wouldn't say its hard in steepness, just some boulder climbing near the top. As long as you keep going up you'll keep finding the path here and there. If you like loops continue along the peak and descend the back side of the mountain. It's a bit steeper of a route down, but take it slow and you'll be fine (poles would be a bonus). Head left at the pass and keep along the valley and you'll eventually see the lake come into view.

Well worth the long trek in. First couple hours to Bourgeau lake is mostly covered with the odd views looking back down the valley. Once past the first lake, the views through Harvey Pass and the ridge to the summit will give you more than enough motivation to keep going! One of the best hikes I’ve done in the Rockies.
