Rosco Butter reviewed Angels Landing Trail

If I had to do it again. I would get there before first shuttle. We were on first shuttle so not to bad going up. We went as far as people crawling over each other on those chains which is ridiculous. Great but go early. Can't imagine going later in the day

Took shuttle to Hermits Rest and walked back bus stop. Next day went to shuttle stop at east end. Go early since its full of tourist later in day. Go early enough and not many at all.

This is about the best trail I've ever been on. I loved the area around the Indian Rock house, the waterfall. Saw only a couple people on the trail but I am sure its crowded in summer. We went weekday May2. Will wait till fall to go again. Sign said no dogs but we took them anyway. Also walked the other trails in park.

Who ever said this is one of "largest examples of pioneer rock walls in the state" hasn't been around. They are all over just not obvious. There are miles of rock walls where I lived in Ozone, ar out away from highway. This wall was falling down in most places. Liked the hike.

I've been hiking here for 30+ years. Every section between campgrounds is different. Bring the bug spray and maybe take a side trip on an old road or cross country for a while. Winter through summer this is a great place.

There has been some more parking spots newly added along the road that parallels the trail. Road is just up hill a bit and if you just want to walk its a good walk to the overlook. At least one pick nick table. You can park along this road and get onto the trail at several spots along the way. During the week almost no traffic. On weekend too much. You can also get to trail from the trail at Dam Site Park which is across the hwy.
