Very well kept, love the attempts to erase the grafiti and other vandalism. It has a great feel of the past and the people who once lived off this shade. Our boys loved the place, of course, they are totally into natural features. Hot but short enough for a quick stroll o our way to the rest of the day. No restrooms in this side of the park.

Super close to the road, so easy to access. Incredibly powerful river as it runs through its own canyon. Rogue Gorge Falls upstream is an awesome sight: so powerful. Fence separates the canyon from trail, safe for dogs and kids.

Tons of water flow in May. Tough that the viewpoint is so far away from the waterfall. I wonder if you can access the waterfall by way of the Rogue River. No mosquitoes, super light traffic, no snow: perfect May. Easy and well maintained trails although confusing at times.

The moss! Amazing power from that water falling. Smooth walk, not too much traffic, a little snow (March) but not cold. Can lower to base with ropes. Great for kids and dogs.

The pool! Can climb down with rope. Stairs super well maintained. About 100 steps up and the same down. Clean, bathroom setting at trailhead. Went in March, no snow, not cold: just perfect weather. Tons of water.

The birds! The trail is well maintained, the dam is a plus. Bird watching shacks are very convenient close to the river. Flat enough to jog and run (kids). Not much shade, lots of sun.

An incredible new trail. tons of people but wide enough to share. wide open forest, enchanting wildflowers and an awesome waterfall. We trailed right after the rim race, what a day.

Went in September, tons of people going in both directions. No mosquitoes, no snow, great weather. It was easy for the kids too.

We were alone mid June, granted it snowed heavily. The trail is good for all skill levels, as described. Getting down to the base travels right next to the waterfall: an amazing feeling. A lot of mist close up although some logs downstream allow different access points for great photos. Very uniquely wide waterfall.
