Lots of WW2 ruins, good vistas. Surprised I have not repeated it. Will soon.

My Fitbit scored this as 113 flights of stairs, and it does not score descents. Awesome workout.

Excellent trail. Hard to follow in places, but lots of rocky pools and low waterfalls.

5 mile paved loop, most of it open to the sun. Right on the Mississippi, so often flooded. Most interesting during a light snow fall. Great place to train with the backpack. Looking forward to the Greenway expansion !

My Go To day pack trail . Jump onto the Greenway trail and follow it to the Casino and it becomes almost six miles; all paved. Rolling hills, lots of locals out strolling.
    The deer are almost tame.

My favorite trail in STL. Great vistas and varied terrain. Biggest negative is the traffic sounds.

The first three miles are uphill and rocky, the next 3 or 3 1/2 miles are flat river valley. Not bad at all when one is fresh, but that last three miles on the way back are pretty rugged if one is not expecting it.

Kind of a tough choice as I've been on the couch for the bitter cold streak; but doable and breathtaking vistas.
