Great trail, it's well maintained for most of the hike and is pretty clearly marked. Just make sure you save the main turn points so you don't get confused! It's a hike and a history lesson! Took me around 4:30 for the whole trail having to park outside the gate to the road because it doesn't open til after 6am

This is a great easy hike for kids or beginners. This only took about an hour round trip with taking some time at the top of the rock you have to climb up to. It is great to see the locals and others cleaning up trash on this trail on the weekends as well. Remember to pack out what you pack in!

If you take the trail from the fire road off the main baldy road this is an easy hike. It has a continuous gain until you get to the last 1/4 mile. I do this trail almost weekly and normally take the claremont loop up to this trail that leads up. Its around 7 miles round trip this way so it makes for a good amount of exercise with some good views of the city below. Make sure to keep an eye on time if you go this way the lot closes early in winter and they will ticket you

This is a great trail that leads to 360° views at parts of the trail. This is a very windy trail at most times so make sure to bring a wind breaker! For the way up you can take a few ways, a loop from ski hut or a fire road from the ski parking. You can also hike up below the lift chairs or ride the chairs. I chose to hike up below the chairs and it was.... interesting. We cut off some time but I recommend taking the fire road. I came in the dark and the fire road was hard to even see but it is at the back left of the main lot. Overall great hike, great weather, great views and an amazing time.

This is a rough hike, the first few miles are easy leading up the saddle but become difficult once you reach the switchbacks leading to the peak. Make sure you come prepared with plenty of water and watch your step on the thinner parts of the trail. There are a few old mines a little past the saddle, one upper that goes in about 10 feet and the lower one that has a few tunnels with one that leads to an old mine shaft that collapsed. If you go in just be careful! Overall worth the view and the hike up, plan to do this many more times.

This hike is great but the trail is getting hard to follow, many parts of the trail have trees fallen down in the middle and other obstacles. I did this as a night hike, hiking out at sunset and hiking back in the dark, it's fun but I don't recommended it unless you have the topo map to make sure you're on the trail. On our way back we saw plenty of wile life even a bear on the other side of the river. Be careful out there!

This trail is very difficult to follow, there are a few poles with rocks on them to help guide you as well as some rock arrows out. Went on a Saturday morning with not a single person around. The trailhead sign is gone but 2 poles are still there, be careful to park on the hard dirt so you don't come back to being stuck in sand. Make sure you use the mapped trail and follow it through if you start the loop to the right the grottos are caved in. You can either crawl through the hole to the left or climb over it to the right you will need to climb a few other places as well. The trail is extremely washed out and at many times will break down as you walk on it. Be careful out there!

Great trail for just about anything. I prefer to do this on the weekdays where there aren't many people and later on so you can see the beautiful sunset. There are so many ways to take this trail, you can really just start and follow whatever trail you want because its pretty hard to get lost at all.

Fun little trail especially if you plan to go to the lodge after. On the way up there are plenty of great views of the mountains and scenery. The flats is a great place to hang out or bring up lunch. Just pack out what you pack in!

This is a great hike, there is plenty of parking and an inviting trail. A few portions are rocky and you need to climb over them especially at the end at the falls. The water is clear and most people pack out what they pack in. Really a beautiful ending to a hike, extremely rewarding.

The inclines for this hike is intense, I paired this hike with the Santa Ana loop and it ended up being around 20 miles. To say the least by the time I got to the peak I was pooped. It's a great workout with great views of the valley and city. It is exciting going through the cloud coverage and being able to look above the clouds for miles.

This is a great workout and is a fairly long hike to the Doppler ball. I went on a Saturday and it was a busy day there wasn't a time where I couldn't see someone else on the trail. This hike is good for all groups, kids , dogs, biking, you can really do it all. The views are alright, you definitely don't feel like you are in corona.
