I Hiked 11-7 it was raining in the early am. Then it turned beautiful. It was Diwali and my wife put Tilak on my far head to help guide my way. I went the easy way and followed the Burrows Trail. A little challenging at the very top. But this is very doable. Fantastic view. Saw like further then I could believe. ONE MAN GATHERS WHAT ANOTHER MAN SPILLS.

I went Monday 11-5 Lots of ice. Then when I got to the white rock trail it was a ton of snow Many of the markings are on the rocks So I could not see them but it seemed pretty obvious as to where you need to go. Very windy at the top but a fantastic view. ONE MAN GATHERS WHAT ANOTHER MAN SPILLS.

I did today 10-30. Lots of ice at the beginning then snow. It was windy. Very windy. From bottom of notch road by the new Boardwalk on Stowe side I started there so w the up and down and back to my car 4 hours. only one sketchy spot at the very beginning of actual trail. I used poles and my Yaktrax. I always use poles. Some deep snow around the pond area in some spots. Very fun hike today. I saw no one. ONE MAN GATHERS WHAT ANOTHER MAN SPILLS.

Went today. Total mixed bag. At the bottom muddy. Then snow. Then came some ice and icicles which could be deadly. Not the largest I have seen there. But enough to mess you up. Total up and sown 2 hours 10 minutes. I used my yaxtrax at very top ONE MAN GATHERS WHAT ANOTHER MAN SPILLS.

I did this today. 28 degrees rain Iicey snow sleet precipitation. Some really sketchy spots at the very top just before the fire tower. Lots of very thick ice. Danger Will Robinson The fire tower was covered in ice. Probably not a good move on my part and ; coming down was freeking treacherous Whole thing took about 2.25 hours. Don’t start what you can’t finish. This is no hike up a mountain. Scramble & climb more like it. Lots of upper body. If you are not prepared then you can do some damage to yourself. I was able to complete because I had to. As I first stated. When you start, really not easy to go back. That said it’s not easy going up either. I went alone on a very wet rainy day. Also totally unadvisable. Lots of other fun and safer hikes with great views. Do the pinnacle or hunger. These are way easier with only a few challenges near the top. But safe and doable.
