Nice moderate 0.8 miles hike from parking area on Rt 3 to the peak. Trail has portions that could be wet in spring but are covered with board walk. The most scenic overlook is before you get to summit. Trail crosses the carriage road several times. I recommend hiking stick or poles for the descent.

One mile on dirt Bald Rock Road with 1/2 mile trail up to Bald Rock. Total distance to the rock is 1.6 miles. The trail is not difficult in fact at one point there are rock stairs. The view of the coastline with the harbors of Rockport, Camden, and Lincolnville and the islands just off the coast was spectacular.

Beautiful trail with forest, streams, and a spectacular view over Megunticook Lake. Contrary to the description this is a loop trail. The loop split is about 1/2 mile from parking lot. I suggest taking the right trail because it is easier to come down the left trail. I would also recommend hiking stick or poles for the descent. Also make sure you go to the cross. It marks the spot where on May 6, 1862 Elenora French fell to her death. If you are hiking the loop counter clockwise, the cross is just the last sign as you head down. At that sign go right and then take your fist left to the cross. It is an out and back that is not part of the loop.

This is a very nice short trail that is a real tribute to Rachel Carson's calling our attention to the importance of the salt marsh ecosystem to the health of the ocean.

We did a mixture of trails that took us along the outer perimeter of the farm. This was about 3.8 miles. The trails were marked with education posting regarding the plants and animals surrounding each sub-ecosystem in the park from forest, salt water marsh, ocean and ponds. Make sure you bring bug spray.

Beautiful trails along the ocean in front of some beautiful water front homes and hotels.
