Nice enough trail with wonderful rock arches. Not really worth the drive unless 4 wheel driving is something you are really in to (and confident with).
The drive from Grand Junction took over 2 hours, so start early.
It is definitely possible to make it a loop, but you need good footwear and a head for heights. Easiest option if you are keen would be to hike straight to First Arch, and scramble/slide down. Or just do the out and back.
Take lots of water and don't forget to reapply sunscreen. And be prepared for a long day.

Hard work, and I am so glad I camped at LYV. An early start meant that I watched the sunrise from the cables.
I would not have wanted to do it as a day hike, the crowds would have made it not worth the strenuous effort.
I returned via the Mist Trail, which was probably a mistake due to horrible crowds and the hellish steps.
The system of using carabiners seems ridiculous. The posts are much too close together, so people are constantly clipping and unclipping. It is insanely time consuming. I am good with heights, but even if I wasn't, I think they are would just be a distraction. Rubber palmed gloves for good traction are a big help.

Brilliant views, for a moderately strenuous hike. Left the trailhead at 5am, the snow was very icy and slippery. You get much better traction after the sun has softened it a little. Exposed to strong cold winds, but there is regular shelter, including at the summit.
I lost visibility for over an hour when the clouds rolled in. I waited it out from sheltering rocks as I wasn't in a rush, and I was there for the views.
Amazing sunrise views from the trail, worth the early start and the slippery snow.
