Really cool area. Very scenic and easy to do. The whole trail loop is paved and is short. Other unpaved trails branch off from this trail that lead to more isolated areas. The reservoir has regular camping sites as well as car camping sites. Easy to fish out of and there are plenty of sites to choose from or go more off trail and find your own spot. Great for dogs.

It was a pretty nice place for a day hike. I went in April after heavy rains so there was a marsh about 3 miles into the hike. The falls were an ok scenery but wasn't worth getting feet wet. I recommend going in the warmer months of the year. The camping is not that great only a small handful of spots to pitch a tent. Everything else is just overgrow or wet. There was definitely a lot of wood to burn though. It's a nice day hike but I wouldn't recommend for overnight camping.

Awesome trail. I absolutely love this trail. It has plenty of life and growth and tall trees. Plus your hiking alongside a creek with fresh water. This trail was very scenic. However, it is very steep. This was a challenging hike. It is about 4 miles from Kennedy meadows to relief reservoir and it is an uphill battle the whole way. (About 1600ft) uphill. Be prepared to go uphill. But it is beautiful and there are several locations to pitch a tent if you don't make it all the way to the reservoir.

Decent area. Most of the wilderness is dead cause of the fire a few years ago so there isn't a lot of wild life. The incline when you reach the mountain is pretty tough. Steep incline. The water level is high in cache creek during winter. I went during January. There is nowhere to cross the cache creek on the winter when you reach the baton flat. I was told by the locals that the creek can be crossed during the summer. It is about 2.5 miles from the parking area to the baton flat. Great views when you get to the top of the mountain.
