Mt. Washington on a spectacular day. 8 hrs round trip no wind with 18d on top. I guess we lucked out. A fantastic way of spending our 25th wedding anniversary on Sep. 06 2015. Followed by a wonderful dinner at the Darby Fields Inn.

A terrific hike starting through a pretty much straight pleasant hike through forest. At around 2.8 km you will be at the bottom of a majestic range surrounding you. Breathtaking views in every direction. Small rocks and earth dot the rest of the way up. We made it to 6800 feet when heavy rains forced us to turn back.

Badly indicated trails that had us guessing most of the first part from Sugarloaf Ski Area. We made it eventually to Lincoln and then Abraham. Nice views from the top.
Will revisit and climb Abraham from the western part.

Raffi Nicoghosian reviewed Algonquin Peak and Wright Peak via Algonquin Trail

This is a phenomenal hike that has all types of terrain and difficulty. The last mile after the fork that splits to Wright and Algonquin was pretty technical but truly rewarding. We did only Algonquin on this outing. It took us 7 hours with a good pace.

We did this hike yesterday and went up and down via Monroe trail. Steady scent through many switchbacks. View on top was superb. It took us 2.5 hrs to go up and 1.5 hrs to come down. It would be a nice introduction to hiking to new comers to the sport.
