Unfortunately there isn’t any water in the pools because it’s very hot and dry, but the hike itself was awesome. Unmarked and unmaintained makes for a great adventure. I went around 10am and was the only person on the trail. Spectacular views of Zion. Rocks can get quite slippery and steep so I wouldn’t suggest taking kids past the first few pools. Awesome hike.

First off, don’t waste your money renting anything from the shops nearby. Get to the park early to get a parking spot at the visitors center, spend the $15 you would have spent on parking on a walking stick from the market (or just find one), and hop on the shuttle.
No matter when you go it’s going to be crowded but the earlier = less crowded. I would highly recommend going farther than the first 2 miles. It gets much less crowded and a lot more serene. If you don’t have much hiking experience don’t go past 3.5 miles probably.
I did the whole trail in my running shoes and spandex shorts. There’s really no need for anything fancy. Just a stick to help you find holes in the ground and stability.
Also PLEASE have proper hiking etiquette and let faster people pass you, if you wanna take a picture don’t block anyone’s way, and watch your kids.

The trail itself is very fun and technical! The waterfall is absolutely stunning ! It flows into a pool of crystal clear water. The canyon looks like it’s from a movie. I couldn’t find where it continues to the domes after that.

This is a pretty strenuous hike. The views of the rock formations are amazing. Make sure you take a lot of water! It’s a lot of ups and downs and switchbacks. Great workout. If you don’t want to do the entire loop there is an option to hike 5.5 mi to sunrise point and take the shuttle to fairyland canyon.

I loved this trail. A very pretty hike that follows some cascades. After the trees open up following the seventh bridge it gets a little confusing, honestly still not sure where it ends. It seemed like the trail kept going but maybe I just wanted to go farther. I went for a while but the trail disappeared and the rocks got dangerous so I turned back. Pretty sure I passed the end point by accident.

One of my favorite trails I do every time I’m in town. It’s heavily trafficked so go early. Great views of Boulder from the top. I would rate this more as moderate, the only thing challenging is the elevation in the beginning.

A great workout. The views from the top are beautiful. When you reach the highest point you realize there are higher ones behind it, I would recommend going to those. Also go EARLY - it gets packed very fast. Parking fills up quick and the line just to get in the park will get backed up for miles. Also try to go when it is overcast, the sun makes the sand very hot.

The falls are AMAZING! The energy and beauty almost made me cry. I did it at about 8am and had the trail& falls to myself until I journeyed back down. Easy trail and the mosquitos really aren’t that bad - just in the parking area and the muddy bank of the river. I did the river barefoot and I lost feeling in my feet but it was super worth it. Would recommend water shoes and a hiking stick if you don’t have good balance.
