Rachel Benoit reviewed Union Transportation Trail

This is very well-maintained trail that is great for all sorts of activities. There's no incline and not much wildlife, so it's not much of a hike if that's what you're looking for, but it's stroller accessible and dog friendly. There's not much tree coverage, so you will be exposed to the sun quite a bit.

The ruins of Kinzua Bridge are just breathtaking and this trail allows you the opportunity to hike to the bottom of the valley to explore the fallen sections. It's not a long hike but it is a bit steep on the way back up. It also features a stream and is kid and dog friendly.

Rachel Benoit reviewed Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania Overlook Trail

There are two trails at the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon: Otter View Trail and Turkey Trail. Otter View is a .6 mile loop with some steep sections. It features a scenic overlook that shows the canyon and a pretty cool abandoned incinerator in the woods. This trail is safe for kids and dogs. Turkey Trail is a 1 mile out and back (2 miles total) that goes to Pine Creek at the bottom of the gorge. It features many gorgeous waterfalls. I would not recommend taking children or dogs on this trail due to some very steep sections near cliffs. My boyfriend and I had a blast on this trail, however!

This is a very nice paved trail. If you're looking for a real hike, this is not the place, but it's a lovely place to take a long walk with dogs or strollers. There's plenty of lake views and good amount of wildlife to take in. A fun place to take the whole family!

A great quick hike! There are some very steep sections requiring you to maneuver over boulders and such, so think twice before bringing pets or children. The falls are awesome!

We just did the Arethusa trail out and back. We took the Bemis Brook trail on the way out, and I would highly recommend this if you are not hiking with children or dogs. The Bemis Brook trail features two smaller waterfalls (Bemis Falls & Coliseum Falls), but makes an almost vertical ascent to meet back with the main Arethusa trail. The Arethusa Falls are absolutely stunning!

This was a fun, well traveled trail up the mountain. There's a steady incline but nothing extremely steep, making it a realistic hike for children and dogs. The view at the top is stunning! There were also some lovely but limited waterfall views on the way up. Our only complaint was the lack of sights on the actual trail, but the panoramic view of the surrounding mountains makes the journey worth the effort!

Rachel Benoit reviewed Trenton-Hamilton Marsh Trail

There are some beautiful views of the marsh and you can see a good amount of wildlife. There are trails that suit different levels--a road around the marsh that you can walk or run, with some trails branching off for some more difficult hiking. The only downside is that some of the trails further into the marsh are not being maintained. There are many interesting remnants of Trenton's past scattered throughout, which makes exploring a unique adventure!
