    Good
3 star for exploring a cave (with a guide)
1 star for beautiful small hike down.
    1 star for waterfall

    Bad
    None.

    Overall

We bought the ticket for the cave at the foothill center upon arriving at the park. From there, it takes about 1 hour drive to get to the cave parking lot.

There is a 20 walk down towards the cave. The view is absolutely amazing. Once you get the bottom of the canyon there is an amazing waterfall and the cave's entrance is just next to it.

We had a guided tour that lasted roughly 30min. Walked around the cave and saw some amazing stalactite and stalagmite formation. There are lights all around the cave but I highly recommend you to bring your flashlight. The guide showed us what it felt like to be in total darkness for a few seconds.

It was pretty fun to visit a cave. I had never done such a thing and would recommend it if you are visiting the park during the right season; because the cave closes during the winter...

    Good

    1 star well maintained trail
    1 star well shaded
1 star good workout (easy at the beginning but harder towards the top)
    1 star for wildlife (deers)

    Bad

-1 star for bikers going downhill. (most of them go really super fast and can be dangerous)

    Overall

First off, the entrance of this trail is located on Queensferry road and NOT on old ranch road. From sunset, take Mandeville canyon road, left turn on Westridge road, left turn on Bayliss road and left turn on Queensferry road.

Just a heads up for the dog owners out there; this is a dog friendly hike.

The trail is very well shaded and start by being very flat and only towards the very end the trail becomes very steep. Even though its an easy hike, it is definitely a good workout. Walking 8 miles is still very tiring. This trail is mostly used by bikers. They really seemed to enjoy their self; however be aware of them. Some of them can go really fast on their way down and won't have time to stop for you; so step aside if you don't want to get hurt.

Really like it, I will definitely be back.

    Good.
    1 star for rock formation.
1 star for well maintained trail
1 star for being dog friendly

    Bad.
-1 star: Entrance is pretty but I found the rest a little boring.
    -1 star: Not much shade.

    Overall.
The entrance of the park is very pretty. There are some very interesting rock formations at the very beginning but as you go up the view become just a canyon with trees. Nothing special, it is a dirt road all the way up. It is a fairly easy trail.

Easy hikes for dogs, and looks like a good place for biking.
