    Phillip Burger reviewed Gibbs Trail

Nice trail near Ogden, UT. Some parts are overgrown, but elevation climb is pretty good.

The falls were pretty nice on this short, easy hike. There is a day use fee to come to this area so bring a lunch or something and do the small hike and then relax.

We went about 30 minutes in and had a nice time. We liked that we could bring our dog, but parts of the trail were overgrown. It was dry enough that we did not get wet, but we could get close enough for our dog to drink from the stream. About half the time we were in shade and it was a nice walk.

Simple trail that takes you to the base of this amazing double pothole arch. You can see other arches to your side and amazing nature. Do this and then go up to the Windows so you can walk downhill to your car.

Simple for kids, a bit long - so go in the morning when you get the shade. Lots to look at and some basic scrambling on the rocks. If you want an easy way - start at Courthouse Towers and go to the bottom of the stairs by the main parking lot. Otherwise, those stairs get you at the end of the trail...

Pay attention about half way through and you can look out and see Balanced Rock in the distance.

I enjoyed seeing all these arches and just staying on the trail it is not a hard hike at all. Enjoy this and go across the parking lot to Double Arch. We started at Double Arch and then you have a downhill walk back to your car

Phillip Burger reviewed Landscape Arch Trail

You reach Landscape Arch right after you get to the sand and it is a sight to see! There are some smaller arches on the way and if you want to scramble up some of the rock fins, the trail continues.

Phillip Burger reviewed Arches National Park Driving Tour

This driving tour is a great way to see all the areas of the park. Since the park is not that large, this is doable in a pretty short amount of time. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because to really see the arches you have to do some hiking or walking, so just know that you cannot see the best stuff only on the drive.

Phillip Burger reviewed Mesa Arch Trail

A short little hike that takes you over a ridge to see the arch. The elevation was not too hard for us, but a bit more than expected for "Easy" trail. Once you get there, really easy to see the overlook and arch.

One of the best ways to see the overlooks at Canyonlands. The hike was not hard, but sometimes the carins are hard to see and follow. We did this one time at sunset and another time with kids and it was wonderful.

Good short hike that goes up a bit more than expected, but hey - you are going up over a crater, so it takes some time. Took our kids and we really liked it.

Phillip Burger reviewed The Zion Narrows Riverside Walk

Riverside Trail is a MUST at Zion, even if you do not go all the way into the Narrows. It gives a nice view of the canyon and to the start of the Narrows. LOTS of people will be on this trail, so be patient. We stayed on the walkway on the "out" and came back next to the river in the sand. There is a water station and bathroom at the start - shuttle stop 9.

Phillip Burger reviewed Lower Emerald Pool Trail

We did this hike as part of a loop from the Lodge to the grotto and back to the Lodge. It was a nice hike to get up and see the Lower Emerald Pool (we chose to not go up to the Middle or Upper pool). A bit steep but not too bad and nice views of the Lodge area from the top.

Phillip Burger reviewed Weeping Rock Trail

Quick steep hike but worth it to stand under Weeping Rock - especially on a hot day. You have to take the shuttle to get to this spot and it is pretty quick to walk up and take a look.

Some other reviews covered it - this is a great trail (quite warm even in the morning) and the viewpoint was great! Being inside Zion NP though, I gave a 4 star to be fair that there are other places in the park that are more amazing. The best things about this hike are that you can do it straight from the visitor center area so it is quick.

Phillip Burger reviewed Navajo Loop and Queen's Garden Trail

A MUST DO hike in Bryce Canyon. We went around this starting at Sunset Point and going clockwise so we saw Queens Garden first - so amazing and pretty easy walking into the canyon. The 2nd 2/3 of the route is pretty flat and simple, not as many hoodoos. Get ready because once you turn back up to Sunset Point on part of the Navajo Loop, it gets uphill pretty steep. Such a great part of the hike for sure!

Make sure you do this hike when you visit!!

Phillip Burger reviewed Hoodoo Loop Trail

Pretty easy hike through some shorter hoodoos. Had our kids with us and we enjoyed hiking up through the hoodoos on the way back.

These are very nice, but if you dont have as much time - go over to Bryce Canyon because they are larger and a lot more to see

This was an amazing drive with our kids! We went to probably 8 view points, did a few hikes, and had a wonderful time!

Tomorrow we will go and hike close to the visitors center area.

Nice walk on a good packed in trail. At points you get some good views. Pretty windy out at the south point on the trail.

Phillip Burger reviewed North Kaibab Trail to Supai Tunnel and Coconino Overlook

We really enjoyed this trial! 2 adults and 2 kids (age 7 and 9) were able to complete this down, rest for 20 minutes and back up in just under 3 hours. Some parts the dust is a bit hard to walk through and we had to wait for 2 mule groups to pass us as well. Oh yeah, get ready for mule poop :)

This is the only way into the canyon from the north side and it is not as steep as the south side.

Technically for this far down the North Kaibab trail - you are actually not looking at Grand Canyon, but it is still beautiful.

    Enjoy!!

Great short trail from the lodge / visitor center area. Pretty simple walk and was well paved. At one point you see a lot of people climbing up on rocks for a different view but you can stay on the path too

    Phillip Burger reviewed Bridle Trail

Really nice trail if you have a dog at the North Rim. Yes, as the others said, you do not get canyon views, but it is really nice nature and pretty simple hike that starts and ends at the visitor center / lodge parking lot. Technically, the first 5+ miles of the Kaibab trail you do not see "the Grand Canyon" (you see another canyon) so enjoy the dogs in the park!
