Entrance fee of $15 per car and they do have restrictions on dogs. Went here looking for tide pools as reading a few reviews was told this was the place to go but we only found 2 pools with any life besides all the flies around the kelp that had been beached. Dana Point had a lot more sea life to see. If exploring the tide pools and cliff edges be cautious as the rocks are very slippery. We almost slipped and fell and we watched 2 others who did. Nice little walk pretty busy area. We also went up to the visitor center as they have a little museum and souvenir shop. Great views of the bay. We did not go up to the light house. If looking for sea life best to go back down the road just a few miles to Sea World. I do have to say the sand stone cliffs are beautiful but be careful especially if you have little ones as there are no guard rails.

Great little walk in a park, this is not a hike, we were one of many who brought our dog with us (dogs must be on a leash). Many friendly people and many fairy houses to look at. We enjoyed all the flowers and had fun in the little hedge maze. Great little getaway then head down the road a little to relax at the beach.

It's a decent walk but wouldn't consider much of a hike. On one side you have a beautiful view of the canyon and ocean but on the other side are houses. Also the fairy houses are no longer on this trail. Once you reach the end of this path it ends on a street but take a right and continue up the hill to the first street you can make a right on. you will see a nice little area to rest but continue further to Sea View park where you can see a large panorama view of the ocean. Please note there are NO bathrooms on this path. Plenty of foot traffic but not to busy when we went. It's was a nice outing fun for a one time but probably won't do this one again.

I agree with a couple of the other reviews that this is not a moderate trail, I would consider this an easy trail. There are trail markers but I would note that at the view point crossing sign go left unless you just want the higher view point then go right but it is just a viewpoint. When you go left you will come to the edge of the river and the trail continues on the other side. Please note there is no bridge or rocks to hop across so be prepared to get wet. The deepest point was about 25" when we crossed. Keep an eye out for crawdads, fish and frogs. The first part of this hike is well shaded by many trees, after you cross the river there is not much shade but look for the plaque and the modern drawing on the large rock just beyond the plaque. Very fun beautiful hike but would not do this during the cold months, do to the water crossing.

Paul Yellish reviewed Mojave River via the PCT

Must have an adventure pass to park or the rangers will ticket you.The first mile of this trail is pretty busy as people headed to Aztec Falls to cliff dive and party. Up to this point you will see some graffiti and trash. If you proceed down the PCT it is deceiving but you are descending and about 2 miles past Aztec Falls you can easily go down to the waters edge (this is not the Mojave River it is Deep Creek) great place to soak the feet and have lunch before heading back which is a gradual uphill return. Views of the river all along this section of PCT not a lot of shade and the trail is narrow, but a great hike.
